Thanks for the inside scoop on the 460  [thumbsup] Looks like I should reconsider.  Are there any alternate calibers that you would recommend for the 1911? My first choice was 10mm.

I've got an old Delta Elite 1911 and a G20. Don't shoot either that much these days. The 10mm was/is still a hell of a round. Don't see it sitting around gun store shelves these days. Kinda got pushed to the side by the .40S&W... as you well know. Definitely ups the horsepower over standard .45acp.
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

This may seem ridiculous, but I'm trying to build or buy something that I already have a holster for.  It is far easier to find a gun than it is a holster  [bang]

I'm currently using a TT Gunleather IWB that I really like.  I like it even better than my Milt Sparks VMII.

I was just saying this the other day! LOL

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

just shot the Beretta CX4.....loved it!  now converting my AR to a 300 from 223.
Oh, here's a shot of my 8 year old nephew with a Bersa 380 at about 35 feet.  He's freakin good already.

Someone on here mentioned Beretta Cougars the other day... I just fondled one while browsing the local shop, and it seemed like a solid option.  It was a .40 cal version, had a small 'carry' clip and an extended second clip... stickered for $479, but the local guy has a reputation for making decent deals if you'll pay cash.

Does anyone have any FHE they'd like to share?

///edit...
I think it was the "D" model, the 'mini' Cougar.

I was wondering how that cx4 was for you.

That ones high on my list.

8yo with a Bersa 380-- 25-30 feet?

Those guns are really underrated for the price point.

I couldn't agree more.  To me it's a cheaper Beretta.  I bought the Thunder 380 to carry in the truck at all times and for the price I wont cry if I drop it or it gets scratched.

Anyone reload for .223?

If so do you have any info on Hornady 60 gr HP.

I'm looking for bullet length.

Actual bullet length or overall loaded cartridge length, or length from cartridge base to bullet ogive?

Actual bullet length Warren.

I'm wanting to load some Nosler 60 gr Partitions, and I have data for Hornady V-Max and HP for two different powders I want to use (read already own).

I'd feel better being able to compare bullet length so seating depth would be the same.

I can't find any oal data on the 60 grain Hornady and I don't have any on the shelf.  I have the 60 grain partitions and part boxes of every other 224 bullet imaginable but no Hornady hollowpoints.

I can't find data on the Hornady either.

Thanks for looking.

Holy S!  3 pin punches, a maple cutting board and a nail set destroyed trying to get the tapered pins out of the front sight on my AR.  Eventually drove the thing over to my local gun smith and handed it over in defeat.

Five more minutes and Im sure i would have done irreversible harm to the barrell, sight or both. I realize Brownells has the cut out hockey puck dohicky.....just didnt have one handy.

were you using brass punches by any chance?

Did you heat them?

My guess is the mag-oxide coating was applied after assembly and glued them in place somewhat.
