I was wondering the same thing.  Seems a bit high to me too

;D
I think it might be the Grand Master Predator Tactical Technician........as soon as you see "Grand Master", double the price.   That and the lifetime guarantee.

The 1911 trigger system is very simple (especialy 70 series w/o the firing pin block) so a good gunsmith can achieve 2 to 3 lb trigger pulls without any creep.
If the gunsmith takes his/her time fitting the slide, barrrel, and barrel bushing it is capable of 1" groups at 50yds.
All this takes time and gunsmith time isn't cheap.
My wifes .45 is a para framed Les Baer, 11/2 lb trigger and if you do your part it will shoot 1" groups (ragged hole) at 50yds.

+1 on Cylinder and Slide, I've got their ultra light weight hammer and sear in my Goldcup. No fitting was required and never had any problems in 10,000+ rds.
A conclusion is the place you got tired of thinking

1" group at 50 yards or 50 feet?  If its yards, I Want One!

The gun may be capable of that kind of accuracy but the nut holding onto the grips has to be pretty exceptional to extract that kind of functional accuracy from a handgun.
This isn't a dress rehearsal for life - this is it!

Clark Guns set up a 9mm Commander for my wife that is a tack driver also.

50 yards off a bench using sandbags, a tad bit bigger offhand.  ;)
When we practice, are you familar with the USPSA cardboard targets? Sharon (Mrs. sno_duc) usually turns the upper "A" zone into a ragged hole at 20 to 25 yds. (forget taping it there's not enough cardboard left after a couple of 15 rnd magazines)

Why  [bang] and no shit, most of the mag would be misses.  ;)
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

Ran the first 100rds through the new CW9 today, and it's working as advertised... no fuss, no muss, goes bang every time, winds up within a very reasonable distance of where I'm pointing (given my inexperience, inconsistent stance and grip, and general lack of a clue, I can say this thing shoots way better out-of-the-box than I have any reasonable expectation of)... so, no complaints so far.  For those of you that have a Kahr, are you using some kind of an aftermarket grip, like a Hogue slip-on or some of that sticky-side tape?  My only minor gripe after two boxes is that the grip felt a tad bit thin - and when I say 'minor gripe,' that's all it is.  Somewhere around 75 or 80 rounds in, I thought, "If this thing was just a teensy bit wider in my hand, it'd be awesome..."

Both of those options are pretty inexpensive and neither one is permanent, so I'll probably test one or the other out at some point.  I'm just curious as to other people's experiences.

Being a total n00b with this whole CCW thing (except for a brief and very limited period during college, so, like 200-something years ago...), it's kinda heavy on my mind.  I'm either hyper-conscious of every aspect of it to the point of panic (OMG, did I just sweep the muzzle across that lady's concrete lawn goose when I re-holstered?  OMG! OMG!) or I return to a normal state of mind for a brief moment and then the fact that I'm carrying a loaded firearm in a Sam's Club rushes into my head with this insane enormity (OMG! OMG! I'm carrying in f#ckin' Sam's Club! OMG!).

How long until that wears off?

I have a generic rubber slip-on hogue grip on my CW9. I felt the same way about the grip feeling "thin"

Question from a gun noob...

I have a nice AR-15 that was given to me.  Trouble is, it's some match-special thing with a long stainless fluted barrel, no top rail (so the optics get in the way of pulling the slide back) and whomever built it did it in such a way it blows powder back in my face each time I fire.

What I'd like to do is to get a different upper for it.  What I'd like to do even more is get a different upper that is chambered in something else.

Can I use the lower that is chambered for .223 with an upper that uses, say...7.62?

Move the optics forward on the rail.

Just out of curiosity, and I'm not trying to be an ass, but why would you concealed carry to some place like Sam's Club?

why not? Are there only certain stores/areas where a crime could occur?

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
