Rebar?  That sounds like a disaster. When would you need to use an ar to cut rebar?

I've done it and it works, just takes too much time, but if you didn't have a quicke saw it could be a viable option.

Will one round cut the bar or do you need multiple hits to sever?

One round cuts each piece of rebar, then you move to the next etc., like I said it takes time.

I don't foresee a huge need to be breaching rebar with my 12ga in the near future.  Most doors around are hollow core, and my boot would be sufficient.
