My P220 isn't the fattest thing on the planet (single stack .45)... but I comfortably carry it IWB in a Comp-Tac MTAC holster.

When I'm dressed formally and carrying the P232, I generally carry it in a 5.11 Tactical holster shirt (like an Underarmour fitted undershirt with vertical shoulder holsters sewn in).  Would like to get a tuckable IWB holster for it, but it seems options are limited, expensive, and custom made-to-order.

No kidding.  I can easily carry a G19 IWB.  Hell, sometimes I carry the G17 that way if my shirt is loose enough.  Need to lay off the pies Tizzy.   ;D

I would not care for the trigger on the 1908 at all.  Or for the .25 cartridge.  I'm not sure what you see as good about that gun that you can't get in a modern compact .380.

I liked the 1908 because it felt like a 1911.  I can see not liking the trigger.  And I thought they came in a .380.

The LCP is a .380 auto?

Buy a you mold it kit from Old Faithful holsters for the Bersa Thunder. Mold it to the 232. Problem solved.

The 1908 may come in a 380 but ive only seen them in 25.  The LCP is a 380  nearly an exact copy of the keltec but much nicer.

Iwb means inside waist band, not stuffed in your ass crack.

Hair pies only.

Ooh, actually... I hadn't checked their website in a while.  They now have an option for the P230 (which is the same form factor).  With the quick-assemble kit, I can get it optioned the way I want for less than $45, and no need to mold the Kydex myself.  Need to remember to place that order when I get home...

Another option along the lines of the Colt Mustang, if you really like that style: The SIG P238.

I think it's a newer model in SIG's lineup (relatively speaking)... wasn't around when I bought my 232.  Looking at pics alone, I'd still stick with the 232, but that's personal preference.  The P238 looks less ergonomic... and I really like the ergos on the P232.  I have a hard time getting my big paws clamped down on smaller deep-concealment pistols (Keltec, etc).

FYI: If you check SIG's website, they state the width on the P232 is 1.2"... but that must be the thickest part of the grip, not the frame or slide.  I don't have it in front of me for an exact measurement, but I can tell you from memory the slide is thinner than 1".

What were we talking about again?  Someone asked about a .380 subcompact?

Then again, I've seen people with a G19 IWB.  WTF?

What's s wrong with that?
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

NOTHING is wrong with it if youve got that much room in your pants.  My skinny jeans and jeggings dont permit it.

Oh I get it.  [laugh]  You're a city-slicker in your tight jeans and body-hugging shirts.  ;)  It's nice to live in the country, where that's not a necessity... so I can wear more moderately fitting jeans ("classic fit", not relaxed fit) and looser shirts and look normal.  Yeah... my brother in his fashionable skinny jeans would never be able to wear a P220 IWB.  He'd have to go up a size in both jeans and shirt.

Nope, I have a 80s small John Deere tractor, a few Jonsered saws, do 90% of my car and bike work and eat roadkill.

But I like to look nice.  I even have skinny overalls.

I was just teasing.  ;)  To each their own.  But yeah, one definitely has to either dress around the gun, or figure out how to carry within the confines of their selected attire.

The P232 or a smaller pistol in the 5.11 Tactical undershirt would probably be a good option.  You can wear whatever pants you like.  Shirt might have to be tailored such that the bulge isn't obvious.  I just wear my shirt a size too big.  Not uber-fashionable, but I value security over looks.  Would like to find a tailor who's cool with carry and can help me tweak the bigger shirts so they look more fitted without printing the gun.  Just haven't had time for it.  I do have more fashion-conscious fitted shirts for times when carry is not allowed... work, commercial air travel, appointments at controlled buildings/facilities, etc.

With that 5.11 holster, you can wear a fluffy pirate shirt.
