Ordered a polymer lower from Tennessee Arms for my new AR build.

That's pretty nice, I like the integrated guard, much like the POF lowers. [thumbsup]

What's the rest of the build gonna be?

The BCM upper that I posted before, most likely a BCM gunfighter stock or Daniel Defense. 1-4 Nightforce scope or Vortex. Gisselle, Timney or ELF trigger (cant decide).

Why polymer?

Mostly for weight. It's easy to make a 6lb gun heavy when you start adding scopes, sights, lights, NV etc.

Makes sense.

That much lighter than aluminum?

I have solid models of AR uppers and lowers. Could do a run of Ti ;D

It's not a crazy difference, but every little bit counts when you've got in slung on your body for 6-8hrs, moving and shooting in over and around obstacles.

Weight yes, but i've been so leery of them esp the buffer tube mount.  that one looks different there

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

They made one for Frank last year, and we've put it through its paces with no issues as of yet, plus it was only $40 so I'm not worried.

Scores in from yesterday's steel match.

Stage two was freestyle, strong hand, weak hand, I missed ONE!!!

I scored 18th out of 62, the top 10% are all using optics or red-dots of some kind so I'm very happy with that.

Imagine if I knew what I was doing. ;D

I'm going to ask the rangemaster next month to separate the optics guys scores. Not that it's unfair, but really skews how the scoring gets stacked or maybe I should swap for an MOS.
