And it doesn't cost you a dime!

Lies, it cost me a G17 this week as someone living here claimed it for her own.

You are probably better off with it in the hands of Mrs. Baron. [cheeky]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Finished my first AR-10 today. I originally intended to build a 6.5x47 Lapua, but I ended up with 6.5CM. Will likely build another upper in Lapua later.

Test firing tomorrow to make sure everything works, then will disassemble and lap the upper receiver. I'm also planning on bedding the barrel extension with Loctite 680 retaining compound.

Went to the range today with bullethead. Rifle shot very well, but I'm having issues with the bolt catch. Will replace tomorrow. Only shot 20 rounds, but I really like it. minimal POI shift with the suppressor too  [thumbsup] Only fired it out to 100 yards, then spent the rest of the day shooting the 338 at 1k. Bullethead was killing an 8" target with a 20" 308. His little midget rifle is fun.

I got a few 1k hits with my 5.56 AR, but the wind was giving me issues. Shot 100 rounds of 338, but that is all I had loaded.

I'll be going back in a week or two with bullethead and Ronr. I'll call you and give you a time. We shoot at TacPro.

Rocksett > Loctite

680 has a max temp of 300F.

You're going to exceed that pretty quickly at the barrel extension.  Rocksett goes up to 2000F.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I thought the same thing. Apparently lots of PRS guys are using Loctite Blue, whick is also 300F. Alexander Arms supposedly uses it too.  I hadn't considered Rocksett. That might be the way to go. Thanks  [thumbsup]
