And?

Not gonna make the call till I finish the trial round count. (Although I'm betting I go back to the Glock)

You've had Glocks for a long time right? It'd take something pretty special to trump one.

You're giving it a crack though! Lol!

Yeah, I've had them since the Gen2. I still have that 17. I got rained out yesterday, but I pre ordered the M&P 2.0 Compact, which is the exact size of the Glock 19. (15+1 v 17+1) it is 4" v 4.25. I've always been able to run a 19 smoother than a 17, so I'm thinking this' is gonna be the ticket. I don't think you' can go wrong with the M&P, like I've said for years, 'shooters solution'. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the new gun. (I'm betting it cleans up my mag changes)

Sounds good Mate! ðŸ'ðŸ»ðŸ'ðŸ»

I'm looking forward to the reviews of it once you've got a range day or four under your belt! 😉😉

As it turns out, I outshot everyone (in our short and simple club shoot) despite the layoff.
First I shot the Sig .22, Then a friend's Glock, then the club USP.
Glock was the fastest over the
.22 by half a second, then the USP half a second behind the .22.

I was happy with that. ðŸ'ðŸ»

Good deal, sounds like it was a good outing.

I enjoyed it for sure.

Because I often shoot a .22, I get cheeky comments about it being easier to shoot with low recoil etc, etc....

So I like to follow that round up with a 9mm or two! ðŸ'ðŸ»ðŸ'ðŸ»

Back on the Glock today. 250rds, multiple drills. The difference in mag changes is huge (for me). On the way home the shop called and I went by and picked up the new M&P. I gotta change out the sights and trigger, then I'll put it through it's paces. I do like these guns, so I'm hoping the smaller frame will smooth out the mag changes for me. Either way, I now have an educated answer.

Solid work today. A lot of shooting on the move drills. You can't stand still in a gunfight, and you can only move as fast as you can accurately engage the threat. Went by the gunsmith on the way home, and got all the trigger goodies put in the compact 2.0. The full-size 2.0 is still eating me up on mag changes. I've done thousands of dry ones with the new gun, and believe it might be the ticket. I'll find out tomorrow.

I put it through it's paces today. Distance, multiples, movement, and a bunch of mag changes. Not sure why, but the reloads (Combat, emergency call it whatever the make the beast with two backs you want) are smoother with the smaller frame for me. Not a clue why, angle of the magwell, the way my eye picks it up? So be it.

“He likes it, hey Mikey”

So, you can't go wrong with the 2.0 in either size. The Compact will be much more user friendly for EDC, but that's all shooter solution. Carry whatever you're comfortable with, but you absolutely have to 'train'. Get out of your comfort zone, shoot drills you suck at. (I've got many)

Thanks for the continued updates Kopf!

The smaller frame model isn't available here for standard shooters down under.

Also our approach to gun use and pistols in particular, let's just say is somewhat different to your nation.

I prefer your way personally, but most citizens here would find such thinking abhorrent!

I glad the compact is working well for you. Internet reviews for the M&P 2.0 range are good.

You should do some internet stuff, or would that be cutting off another revenue stream??
