I used to be scared of my mother in law.......when I used to go visit I would wear a necklace of garlic and had silver crosses on chains, in my pockets ,attached to clothing , 17 bibles in the car for emergency use and..........3 paid on full retainer Bishops that were experts in exorcism. My mother in law's head use to spin thru 360 while vomiting some green stuff.........it was later identified as chain bar oil mixed with Stihl 2 stoke oil and Jagermeister!

that... doesn't sound tasty

oh and as far as guns go, I have no use for them.Having had a rather nasty experience with one in my mouth in Iran in 1983 I really don't need to be around them ever again.......but happy that you guys are happy with them. I prefer to spend my Saturdays at the nail salon and shopping for cute clothes rather than ammo or a new trigger lock.
Which reminds me.......If you have minors in the house please lock everything up and use trigger locks. Too many kids are accidently killed every year because they found a way to access something they should NEVER get to.
Thanks!

American guns taste better than Iranian ones.  Better cleaning and maintenance intervals.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I have a pair of Husqvarna's - a 357XP and a 365 - both with 20" bars - I run .375" X .50 72 link semi chisel tooth chain and dino chain oil.  Slings and carrying equipment just get tangled up in CQB.  I also run Husqvarna chaps and combo helmet, faceguard and ear protectors - remember ATGATT  (Husqvarna is the Ducati of the Chainsaw world)

I process about 14 full cords of firewood a year for my place and my folks.  I have a wood gassification system with a 1000 gallon heat storage unit - so I am totally justified to have that much firepower at my disposal.

In the event that I run out of fuel, I have a great supply of axes, and a large collection of crosscut saws. (which when I set them up cut amazingly well)

ZOMBIES? - BRING EM!!!!

Now THIS is the shit!!!!!!!...the man is prepared

This is an insult to the Pez community

That crosscut is actually pretty amazing.  It is crescent ground, meaning that the steel tapers - thicker at the teeth and thinner at the back of the saw.  This allows the teeth to have very little set and still not bind in the cut.  Two motivated people can blow through a 12" red oak log in less than 30 seconds.

Definitely not the trigger locks that are required to come with the gun.

Some are nice, some are make the beast with two backsing junk.

I think I broke my Glock one off with my hand once to see if it could be done.

I believe lots on here with kids have gun safes for their large guns and a quick finger print one for a handgun located near their bed.

Is bar oil necessary when using a chainsaw against humans or other deadly wild game?

<snip>
No...

nor for halving a pig. [thumbsup]

I usually use a sawzall with a long wood blade for hogs.

They make special mods to saws here for cutting holes in the ice for sturgeon spearing.  They use a greasegun mounted to the side to pump the clutch bearing area full of grease to displace the water after the cut.  They sell more 42" bars here for cutting ice than trees.

True,

But a chainsaw works if the sawzall blade is rusty, or there's no power. :P

I am sure people have, but wanted to check.....

Anyone dropped the trigger pull on a Glock?

I believe my glock 19 stands at 6.5lbs and would like to drop it lower.

Are there several weight options out there or only one?

Easy install or a gunsmithing job?

Pretty sure there are several options out there for glock triggers.  The job just consists of changing the trigger bar.  I bought one for my ruger sr9 from Ghost Inc.  They make several different versions for glocks.

what exactly is the advantage of dropping the weight?

Shorter pull of the trigger or just a lighter pull?

or a combination?

I've never fired a gun that has had trigger work done, but a lot seem to do it, so inquiring as to the main advantages verse disadvantages.

(note: I don't have trouble pulling the trigger due to weight)

One of the major reasons to leave the Glock trigger stock, is, if it is your social gun and you have to use it for self defense, prosecutors use that modification to try to sell juries that you modified the gun to be more lethal or that you purposely defeated the "safety" of the firearm to demonstrate to the jury that you are not a good guy.

If the gun is for fun or competition only, there are a number of options for trigger pull modification on the Glocks.
