There is a plethora of cases explaining what "reasonable" is.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Well yeah, I understand that, but then the next jury can decide a different interpretation of what reasonable is.

correct?

I also imagine "reasonable" in regards to law of any kind varies state by state by case law.

not much.  it is a primary legal concept in american law.

the definition doesn't vary but hte application does depending on the subject matter.

You guys are dancing on the edge of gun law discussion.

Why not get off that and back on whatever topic this is about?

I finally found a gun range in the area where it is 25$ a year for unlimited shooting.

Outdoor too.

No more paying 15$ for an indoor lane and then after shooting for 45mins, they ask you to leave because they have formed a que.

I think I'm going to take out all the guns today, even might drop some coin on some .308 and shoot the M1A Scout.

Taking DP's wishes and moving my topic.

the picture is deceiving on the website.

one has 3 digit combo, other has 4.

I ordered the large.........so maybe it has 4?

a 3 digit combo has 1000 possibilities.

a 4 digit has 10,000 possibilities.

Are you talking about a gun safe?  Oops, never mind, I just your post on the gun pic thread. ;D
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I forgot that was a picture only thread and gun discussions related to pictures and not gun discussion in general from photos to whatever.

Yeah, it is an in-car gun safe that you can either bolt down or use a very thick cable to secure it to your seat.

I went with the first one featured:

http://www.center-of-mass.com/Store_InCarGunSafe.htm

The one on the right looks to have 3 numbers and the one on the left has 4 or more numbers.

I picked up the 2 combo pack, one for my car and one for my wife's.

Not a bad idea. [thumbsup] Nothing worse than having a gun stolen. [bang]

Dude, I flip if I had one stolen, especially out of my vehicle based on the pure fact I couldn't care my weapon into a location that is illegal (yes, I understand schools, federal buildings, hospitals, etc etc).

I had to take out additional insurance on my condo (condo insurance is more like "renters insurance" as you own the drywall in and nothing else. Anyway, I had a rider that covered what I thought my content insurance was until the cool gal at my local state farm office and I started talking guns and it came out that out of my xx,xxx policy I own, only 2,000k of that is guns!!!! Needless to say, owning xx firearms well exceeds that. I added more dollars to my rider, but I still think I am underinsured on guns.)

ah hell, one more thing to deal with.

Just got them in the mail today. Super fast shipping. I think I ordered them on Wednesday or Thursday. They came priority mail from the manufacturer in Minnesota, so not too far from Ohio, but nonetheless, give the owner credit for his fast shipping.

Well built product for what it is and the price. It is a 3 number combination locking system, 1000 possible combinations, so not sure I am too considered with the security aspect. It locks to your car via a very thick braided cable, but I think any bolt clippers could cut it, but it will deter the average thief from snatching it. It is secured inside the "safe" by one part of the cable and is wrapped around my drivers side seat mount. The metal is rather thin and not sure of how easy it would be to pry open, but still think it is more secure than a glove box which can be opened by jamming a screw driver in there and turning, snapping the locking mechanism. Not a long-term storage option, just one for when I go into a location where firearms are not permitted, I can lock my gun safely.

Other major downside which is a bit of a disappointment is I can't fit my conceal holster and gun in it. I now just have to get in the habit of removing my firearm, locking it in the safe and putting the holster and extra mag(s) in the glovebox locked up. I'd rather have a 35$ holster and a few mags stolen then my gun.

Also, the size fits both my wife and my guns, so that was a huge plus and it fits very well in both are vehicles; more so mine then hers as mine is much more accessible when having to remove and store it. I haven't fitted one in the Jetta yet, but will suspect it will have to be secured to the seat post as well and either kept on the floor behind the drivers seat underneath it or in the seat back.

Here is the set up in my vehicle and our 4 primary carry arms.

In plain view without the center console extended, which it usually is not. I have secured it down with 3M double stick tape just so it doesn't slide around, but fits nicely in the spot provided:

Typical set up of my vehicle with the console slid out, concealing the safe:

Kahr CW9 fitted:

Kahr CW9 and Keltec 32 fitted:

Glock 19 (mine) fitted:

Glock 21 (wife's) fitted:

I recommend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive safer way to store their firearm in their car for short periods of time when guns are not permitted where you are going by law.
