Hitting the target isn't so much of a concern. The pistols I'm used to only carry eight rounds, so accuracy is more of a premium.

Ass.

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

9mm is a pretty hot round as is.  a +P ranger sxt is about as hot and lethal as one will ever need.   if you need more than the flying ashtray, carry a rifle(legal in VA)

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

A school of though on defensive handgun purpose is to get you to your long gun.  If you know you are getting into trouble, long guns are what you need.  In the couple of minor incidents I have experienced, people do not like shotguns pointed at them and will usually cease and desist pretty quickly,  handguns not so much.  YMMV.  Having a handgun is far better than nothing at all, as I found out once in New Mexico.  That is a cold, scary feeling, when you walk into a situation you are totally unprepared for.  That was a major learning experience and a motivation to keep up the skills and way more importantly, to stay mentally aware of whats going on around at all times.

I had the honor of meeting Jeff a couple of times and we did some correspondence.  Interesting guy.

RIP Colonel Cooper! [thumbsup] Missed him at a SHOT show years ago in Dallas and still regret it. [bang]

The line I used in my classes (which I openly stole from Clint Smith) was "I'll use my handgun to fight my way to my rifle/shotgun and then the real fight will start!". Don't bring your handgun to my shotgun fight. ;)

Hey, by the way D-wing, nice score on the CZ! [thumbsup] [clap]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I love my Sig P250. There are plenty of quality weapons chambered in 357 Sig. If you did mean .357 mag, then the Deagle it is!  If you have not shot one, do!  They are a riot!  They are as heavy as a VW bus, and the grip feels like it is as thick as a tree trunk!

I had the opportunity to shoot a  similar FN-D (I think) once - fun piece of artillery!  I shot the BAR and it actually moved around quite a bit more than I anticipated.  My Dad was a BARman in the Marines and he said when they shot them offhand, they unhooked the rear of the sling, dropped it down and stood on it to keep the muzzle in the general direction.

One of the most accurate, easy to shoot and control guns I shot in a similar design was the BREN.  Sort of goofy with the top mag and offset sights but man, could you lay in the hits.
