Not much of a posting...

But, I did ride yesterday!  First time since my get-off/finger-busting incident...

Felt great...

(it was on a 75cc mid-70's Kawasaki pit-bike.  SO much fun!)

It's been forever since I've posted.. but at the request of Krystle.. and a bit of a late notice.. There's going to be a "cruise" tomorrow morning.  It's being put on by the Viper Club of NM and it's been rumored to include some exotics/Italians.  I'm just going to copy and paste it up from another forum.  Not a "Ride" per se, but I'm sure some "exotic" Italian Iron would fit right in! (The Crest RD is the highlight of the cruise)  I'm just going to pray Michael and I can keep up in the Subaru..  If you wanna come see some cool high HP rides.. This would be the place!

A note from the local Viper club president, they would love a big turnout!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Cruise is open to Vipers, Corvettes, Lamborghinis, Ferrari's, Cobra's,
Muscle Cars and Cars that have the horse power to keep up.

August 17th, 9:00 AM

Meet at Vintage Restaurant
8000 Paseo Del Norte

Cruise to the east side of the Sandia Mts.

Short Stop at the Top at the Sandia Parking Lot

Return to the Vintage Restaurant for Lunch

Sincerely,

Michael Shepherd
NM Viper Club President

Karl I am in early like 8. I went to the base of the crest today and it poured rain. I sat at Fastbecks until it stopped.
Met a new Duc rider today and invited her to come sunday to CAD. New rider is Kat with a 620 Monster with attitude.
Low clip ons, aggressive style. Hope she will make it sunday to our crest fest

I spoke with Brent up in Los Alamos a few minutes ago.  It looks like he and his wife, Katherine, are going to pay us a visit Monday.  I think he'll be bringing his bike down for a bit of Crest action, maybe followed by a lunch somewhere.

Who's down for a bit of riding and entertaining?

I'll keep the group posted as plans firm up.  Maybe I can talk them into coming down Sunday night and staying with us so we can do a movie night or something!?!

Snakes on a Plane?!?  "I've had it with these mothamake the beast with two backsin' snakes on this mothamake the beast with two backsin' plane!"

Machete?!?  "Machete don't text."

Fight Club?!?  "His name is Robert Paulson."

The Last Dragon?!?  "Catches bullets with his teeth?  Nikka, please!"

Escape from New York?!?  "You can't meet the Duke.  Are you Crazy?  Nobody gets to meet the Duke."

The Princess Bride?!?  "My name is Inigo Montoya.  You killed my Father.  Prepare to die!"

Or maybe just a Tarantino night......

Django Unchained  "Django.  The "D" is silent."

Pulp Fiction  "Zed's dead, Baby.  Zed's dead."

Inglorious Basterds  "Now, I don't know about y'all, but I sure as hell didn't come down from the goddamn Smokey Mountains, cross five thousand miles of water, fight my way through half of Sicily and jump out of a make the beast with two backsin' air-o-plane to teach the Nazis lessons in humanity."

Reservoir Dogs  "I don't give a good make the beast with two backs what you know, or don't know, but I'm gonna torture you anyway, regardless."

Kill Bill  "You're my favorite person, but every once in a while you can be a real Brian W."

Grindhouse Presents:  Deathproof  "It's better than safe.  It's deathproof."

Jackie Brown  "Half a million dollars will always be missed!"

Grindhouse Presents:  Planet Terror  "I've seen me a lot of weird shit in my day, but I ain't never seen a one legged stripper."

From Dusk 'til Dawn  "I may be a bastard, but I'm not a make the beast with two backsing bastard."

Four Rooms  "Oh, my make the beast with two backsin' dick is hard already.  Tell me, Norman, you're gonna do this shit."

Thoughts, oh fellow DMFers!  (That's not Dumb Mother make the beast with two backsers....it's Ducati Monster Forumers.....duh)

Can you guys host at the Casa Di Red/Mouse if there's much interest?  That'd be cool, and it's kinda central for everyone.  If nobody wants to host we could all meet up for an honest-do-Dog movie somewhere.  Maybe Riddick, The World's End (already seen it....but it's pretty funny), or Two Guns?

I haven't heard anything from Brent since yesterday, but I didn't expect to, yet.  Probably Saturday.

What's the story on the move across from the coolest German guy in our group?
