Thanks for that high praise, Stew, but I really don't need the ego pump. A simple "Love ya" would do.
Meanwhile, do you have a Ducati engine stand? I need to pull the frame off the SS to replace a weeping head seal and I think I'd rather do it from a stand this time rather than manhandling the doggone thing. If you don't, do you want one? I figure if nobody locally has one I'll draw and build one for my gratification, and it'd be just as easy to build a couple.
I do have an engine stand. It's surely nothing pretty, but it's available if you want. I get back from LA-la-land on Wednesday night so anytime after that.
But, being the uber-engineery-dude that you are... By then, you'll have designed and re-designed the engine stand until it can be no better, made plans, applied for copyright(s), shopped the job around to several shops for quotes, approved the best shop, had them sign non-disclosure agreements, and have a prototype for yourself.....

I had to go look up the Legend TT, but that's actually a pretty cool looking scoot. I think you'll have fun playing with that!
Me thinks so too... At least it'll be a good scoot to ride around on until a proper desmo V-twin can be resurrected.

I'll just bet you have, Stuart. Glad you have a ride in the works, anyway!
Holler if you need some help unloading when you get back.
I may wait until Wednesday to reverse engineer, then improve the stand you've got. That way I don't have to dismount anything from the SS to start doodling. I'll want to order the parts to stop the leak, too, so I have a little time. I doubt PJ will have them in stock, though he has surprised me before.
Be careful. I hear that the "City of Angels" has a few demons flitting about, too. Eat a Pink's hot dog for me whilst you're in town, too. I love Pink's.

Not quite there buddy... I lived here from 1999 to 2002 and also for a short-stint 1993-1994. I'm no NM virgin.
Bike is a Cardinal Red 1999 Triumph Legend TT with minor asphalt applied 'beauty marks' and a few minor nicks. Missing a speedo, needs some pipes... stupid little things like that. It's no Ducati, but for now....it'll do!
This will be me shortly: [moto]
yaaaaaaaaa
it was nice to get out sat..but just to much for my little body, i was bundles but it was the hands
that had the problem...
didnt get to ride yesterday(which was beautimus) but we did get alot done with the garage and hopefully thia week we can get the bike stand up and maybe the bikes apart to get some stuff powder coated
....but we may need to borrow a couple of tools if anyone is willing

OK...the wife is having a hen party (OK....a work brunch.....you say Tomaato, I say Tomahto) Saturday morning, so it looks like I'm going for a ride. I'm considering lots of different things, but I'm down for pretty much anything that will draw companionship.
PJ keeps bugging me to buy his 1098R, so I told him I'd come and get it Saturday morning for a spin. Maybe a spin through Taos? I'm just sayin'....if you're gonna test ride a $40,000 piece of machinery you ought to test ride it RIGHT! Am I wrong? Am I make the beast with two backsing wrong? (Say it with me Carlos....."No, Walter. You're just an asshole.")

Should be good Cloner... Just be sure to disconnect the speedo sensor before you go too far. It's down the right fork leg. But, you didn't hear that from me.

I don't care if PJ knows EXACTLY how far I took his bike and EXACTLY how fast it went during that time. 300 miles and 200 miles per hour....best hour and a half that bike's probably ever seen, huh?
