Sac Duc and I blew in from SoCal... Had a nice dinner with Plumber's Crack, DucMouse, Dusty, Duck-Stew, and gratefulduc at Samurai.
We're thinking about going CAD and then maybe up either up the Crest or S14...
I hope to meet some more of you crazy hooligans!

Well, it's official: THE CREST IS CLOSED TILL SPRING.
We tried with our out-of-town guests to make one more weekend out of it, but it wasn't to be.
It must've snowed b/c there was the dreaded red-gravelly-crap all strewn in the shadier corners... <<sigh>> Another year brought to a close...

What 'ya mean? They block access? Well, winter begins...It was good seeing Stew and Dusty at PJ's. Talked to Jim and Tom R. and got beaten up about my spill more...
Post thanksgiving ended with a new LED46Flat and a Mac for Molly...Love it and is a huge change from my old patiently kept penny stuck in the speaker Zenith 25" TV from 1979! Races next year should be a blast and NMMR is always welcome in Santa Fe! As the Tricolore $ seems to be sadly fading, hopefully I'll have my next bike ready soon for Spring. The Tricolore resurrection shall begin in a week. [moto]

The weekend was a blast despite the poor road conditions on the Crest. It's always great to meet new, cool folks like Ryan and Carl. I hope we'll have an opportunity to head to California to meet them and hang out sometime soon.
No, J.J., the Crest road isn't closed, but it's closed as far as I'm concerned. When I got set into that first decreasing radius right-hander and had the bike move out (toward the center line) about a foot and a half I decided I don't need to ride on that road anymore this year. The red sand and salt are out in abundance, and the there was actually still a bit of ice on the road despite it. That's enough to ward me off. If they really want to slow down the motorcycles on that road all they need to do is throw that crap our year 'round...I'd never go up there.
Next time somebody ribs you about your get off, punch him (or her) in the dick. That'll stop that right quick. If they don't like the way you ride, then make the beast with two backs 'em. JUST PUNCH 'EM IN THE DICK!!!!!

Even though it was dirty, I could tell from the first few turns that The Crest is something I want to come back and ride when it's clean... [moto]
If anybody needs a twisty fix in the depths of the NM winter, come on out to SoCal and Carl and I will give you a tour of the 150, the 33, Nine Mile, Route 2, Latigo Canyon, Piuma Canyon, Stunt Road, Mulholland (The Snake), Decker Canyon, Saddle Peak Rd, Grimes Canyon, Balcolm Canyon, Las Flores Canyon, Santa Susana Pass, Box Canyon, Woolsey Canyon, Old Topanga Canyon, Dry Creek/Cold Canyon Rd, and more!
All of these roads are within 20-30 minutes of my house, with the exception of Nine Mile and Route 2, and the 33. They're about 45 minutes away, but trust me, your grins will be so wide, you'll need a bigger helmet! Just ask Duck-Stew! [moto]

I am... California DMV won't register my bike unless it has 7,500 miles on it because it's out of state.
It has 7,300... I guess I need to hit the twisties!
