On another Ducati forum someone prefaced their post with "So I went down on a watermelon..."  That's nearly as good as blowing a seal.. but I'll leave my personal life out of this..  Stupid forks.   PM's been sent.  Always something.

No riding for me.  Instead I moped about and pulled my leaking forks off of my ride this morning.  Damn the rubber seals.  I just keep telling myself: "It will be better when its fixed! new seals and new fork oil for the win!"

It WILL be better.

Don't buy fork seals from Ducati.  They charge a mint and take forever to arrive.  Try RaceTech.  They'll have them in stock.  Does the 749R use the same 43 mm Showas that were used on the other 749 variants?

The R uses Ohlins, the S uses Showa's off of a stock 999 with the TIN pistons.. and the regular 749 uses some cheaper Showa's with chrome.  Where would I go to find Racetech?  Them directly?  I've ordered 2 seals and 2 dust boots.. yeah.. from Ducati Via MotoAuthority.  I dont think I'm too late to cancel the order if need be..
