no hockey today,  and I've got this bottle of zin burning a hole in my cooler.

a few petit syrah, too.

all's left is to decide on what to pick up for dinner

You know, either of those wines are good with a nice pork loin... unless you are a traditionalist or you don't like pork.

I made a sort of mu shu pork pizza last night, and I was looking for a fruity syrah/shiraz to make the sauce.  I didn't have any.  Luckily I had a crappy tempranillo that tasted a lot like a low end shiraz and that worked brilliantly.  

I guess the point is that i agree.  Grin

no easy take-out pork loin in my neck o'the woods.

local-style ribeye from the golf course, however... very tasty, indeed Vino!
