i have yet to find a chinese beer that could be considered enjoyable.
actually, i dont' think i've really liked anything from that entire continent.
of course the first one i had was tsingtao, so that might have set me off on the wrong foot anyways.

this was only the 3rd chinese beer that I've tried. it is certainly better than tsingtao.

I like the food, women, and kung fu... beer? not so much.

I lived in Southern China for six months in the early 1980s with only boiled or bottled liquids drinkable, and one thing I'll say for Chinese beer -- it sure beats the hell out of dysentery.

speaking of dysentery...i tried king cobra (india) once. i had the runs for a couple of days afterwards.
bud only hits me for a day. i was scared i had actually gotten something from drinking the beer. lol

What about japanese beers? Whats the general concensus on those? I love Sapporo  drink

Personally, I dont dislike Chinese beers but I guess its a matter completely of personal choice. Id rather drink a Tsin Tao or a Kirin anyday over an Old Porter or a Pabst, but thats just me!

pbr is awful.
it's hard for me to recall how i drank so much when i was poor, then i remember that i was poor and just wanted to get my buzz on so it didn't matter what it tasted like.

kirin is meh. sapporo tastes like bud to me, but doens't give me the runs.

When it comes to Japanese beers, I like sake.

But I gravitate toward beers that are too much (too hoppy, too dark, too malty, etc.), and it seems that all the Japanese export beers are really light lagers, which don't do anything for me. They may well have a Rock-and-Ronin Stout or a Zen Abbey Ale that I'd love that they're just keeping to themselves.

These are all good choices  Grin  I like my bourbon, dark rum, some Sam Adams (their Holiday pack is awesome) and have really found that Harp (made by Guiness) goes down really easy too.

am i the only one that thinks sam adams adds hops just for the sake of adding hops?

i have yet to find one of their beers that i truly liked.
