Cubans are definitely the best rollers, no question about it.

The ones that have gotten out have moved to Nicauragua and now roll for Nick Perdomo, who rolls most brands you find.

One big brand he rolls for is CAO.

Perdomo even rolls some of Fuente's cigars now.


Each year the shop I frequent has an event where Nick himself comes and brings a master roller.

If you buy 5 Perdomo's you get a fresh made cigar rolled infront of your eyes.

It is pretty cool.

After realizing that there would always be a portion of the population that would take illegal narcotics, the government of the Netherlands has created defacto "heroin parks" by being lax in the enforcement of existing drug laws.  The idea was that these parks would concentrate the drugs users to specific areas making them easier to police, easier to distribute clean needles to and easier to set up and advertise centralized treatment facilities.

By the way, have you noticed any horrible tread jacking or pissing matches in other threads since this one started?

I vaguely remember a national geographic article about one country that tried this and you can guess what happened.

It didn't work as planned.

However.......the question is........how is this type of facility/idea different then a Methadone Clinic? The only difference I can see is the Clinic controls how much per day you get verse a free for all where you can shoot as much smack as you please.

I was in Amsterdam in 2002 and I recall from local reading that other than marijuana/hash and magic mushrooms, everything else carried a very stiff penalty. However, the park you describe seems to supersede the seedy allies that dominate the red light district.

2) Why the hell would anyone ruin Kobe beef by putting it in a burrito? In Japan the preparations are usually very gentle. Kobe is even eaten raw as sashimi. What the make the beast with two backs kind of rationale makes someone say, "I have some of the best raised beef in the world right here. Now slather it with beans and pass the hot sauce! Yeehaw!" That is just dumb.

There's a steakhouse here that also serves a "Kobe, Wagyu, Kobe-style, Fancy Pants, Who Gives a Shit" hamburger. While I understand that grinding KWKSFPWGaS (my new acronym) is kinda lame in principle...it still makes a damn fine burger. I'm guessing they use the scraps from making steaks anyway.

Oh...and BTW, I tried your hard-boiled egg method of keeping the water a bit cooler. Very nice result.   I still contend the water isn't actually "boiling"...but whatever.

Of course. We both seem to enjoy quality food, and you've been to KW far more than I. 

It wasn't the best burrito I've ever had...I'll give it a top 3 or 4 though. The best I've ever had was at a place called Puerto Nueva (I think I spelled that right) in Reno. #2 would have to be a place call La Familia in Berkeley (near the border with Oakland). I'd say Bad Boy was a burrito tie with a place called Super Burrito, also in Reno...tie in burrito quality, as well as in the stupid name category.
