. . . makes riders in general look bad.  Funny thing is I immediately assume the type of bike they're riding, certain kind of stereotyping I guess.

you know. it's tough what to say to this

one thread on here is about a drunk officer killing a rider in the middle of the day

this thread is about riders possibly leaving an injured officer to die

people suck.

honestly, yeah a bit less prevalent of an issue

people tend to keep to themselves, but have a sense of community and responsibility to others as well

It's part of the reason I live in the woods...not really, but everyone thinks NH is the woods.

The problem is when people move here and bring their city baggage and want to make our little slice of life what they left.

I think I need to move.

Man, I know what you mean.  I've lived 54 of my 54 years in the same small town (1,100 people) 25 miles (used to be about 35 miles) from Houston.  The people moving out here are calling themselves country folk but they bring their big city attitudes and bad behavior with them.  Then, to top it off, they think those of us that have lived out in the country all our lives need them to show us how we should be living.  They say they want the country life but they move to the country and immediatly begin doing things to try to make it grow into a city. bang head

I like how there is no mention of the 8 motorcyclists that stopped to check on the cop, the fact that a cop managed to drive so far beyond his/the cars limits that he managed to flip a cruiser (causing a far larger hazard to the public than 2 overzealous riders).

also, how realistic is it that these guys were speeding away from a cop car, saw it flip then did a U-turn and went against traffic just to go back to "taunt" the cop? how would one in a "high speed chase" be able to take the focus off all the traffic and doom they are hurling themselves at for long enough to watch the cop car roll in the rear view mirror?

not saying those guys are innocent little angels, anyone who would endanger their life to avoid a speeding ticket deservers a good kicking, the story just seems like an avalanche of bullshit

some of your facts are in correct according to Seattle news. the two that taunted were not the speeders but ones that were behind and not speeding, but a part of the group that some think was as large as 40 riders.  an

ah, that makes more sense.  the early reports I saw said that the officers report put the speeders themselves turning around to heckle the downed cop.

given the distorted view we get "as large as 40" smacks of "about 10" to me.
