What'd you say about my Momma?

I picked up the Mantis Alphonse Karambit this morning.  Flat black and steel blue.   waytogo

That knife would pss me off the first time I needed to slice something on a flat surface.  Dude, with all you spent on knives so far, you could have bought at least one Emerson!

I've only been looking/buying knives for the past two weeks.  I haven't even looked much at the Emerson brand yet.

They have a few I like.  The CQC-10 is a favorite.

So Adam, I'm sure you've answered this already, but what's the new-found lust for blades?

Here's what I would bring to the party...

Sorry, excited and forgot to say what it is. It's the Ontario RD9 essentially the same thing just thicker.

Always had it.  Just haven't looked at them since I bought my last butterfly knife in the early 90's.

Cool but what would you/ do you use this for?

Karambits are used in the Filipino martial arts.  I learned a little bit about them when I was taking Modern Arnis at Northern Arizona Univ. several years ago.

Here's a little more info:

MANTIS KNIVES KARAMBIT MK-3 "CINQ 3", STEVE TARANI/EMERSON KARAMBITS, & TRAVEL WRENCH...

^^^^ This is what happens in a knife fight (hell he used a pen), there is no time for fancy bullshit moves. It's not a sword fight like in a Steven Seagal movie. If someone wants to cut you with a knife, you are getting cut.

I'm not looking to get cut.  The reason I take Aikido.
