Update from my shock service from Nik at Teknik
Rode the R6 at EC yesterday the work he did has transformed the handling of the bike.
The hideous tyre ware and surface melting has repaired it self and the bike was so much easier to ride
I could stay on the throttle through corners and was faster than before, even in the wet.
Teknik Highly recommended .

No problem Mike,
I am guessing you'll be setting up on the GC, so let us know and I will add your new details back in.
If not then good luck with whatever you get up too.

G'day everyone,
Bit of disappointing news, looks like Bevan at EuroTwins has shut up shop. Shame to lose such experience.

Hey all, I can recommend Speedy's Motorcycles at Sumner Park. I purchased my 800S2R second hand and had no idea of it's true service history, so I took it to Scott and Tim who went about doing a complete log book and fuel system service, which gave me peace of mind. These guys have a lengthy history in Ducatis with Tim having done his apprenticeship with Euro-twins under the guidance of the now retired Bevan. My bike had sat for a long time prior to me owning it, after a couple of weeks it developed an intermittent fault which turned out be a fuel pump relay. We all know how hard (and frustrating) it can be to pin point intermittent faults, but Scott and Tim had it sorted quickly and didn't cause my wallet to flatline either.

No Perth Section
Yeah I know not many of us over here and not many good roads for riding. The fact that I've been here a year and only just got my bike serviced proves that. I suppose getting a FIFO job may also have something to do with it.
Anyway got it serviced by Anthony Warnock at Corse Motorcycles, Bayswater. Very thorough. Took the time to explain things to me, kept all old parts to show me why he replaced them.
And cheap as.
Did heaps more than a minor service. But I think he just wanted to see how well it looked for the kms it's done (110 000kms).
Wasn't too hard to get in to see him either. So if you are ever over this way and need a workshop I would definitely recommend Anthony.

I want to recommend these guys. Not Ducati specific, but also not Fraser's. They did make a mistake with the service but went above and beyond to rectify it and so I am still more than pleased with their work, despite being off the road a few more days than I anticipated.

Awesome news, someone told me he joined the ranks of the retired, good to hear he's still in the game.

Ok for anyone interested in South Australia I took my bike to Italian Motorcycles, which is now the only authorised Ducati Dealer in SA. Guys did a great job. Bike had a 30k service, and it has come back really well sorted, like riding a new air cooled 2 valve! There goes that trade in on a Diavel...
