Not really as the 1100s apparently didn't sell to well.

... and the 'standard' M1100 offers even less against an 848SF. What do you think the price differential will be?

As I posted earlier in the 'what should they have done thread' ... a smaller streetfighter could kill the big Monster.

I guess it depends how you look at it.

The way I see it, someone that would not spend 13300€ on a M1100s but would spend 11.300€ on an M1100 still will not spend 13.300+ on an 848SF (except maybe some exceptions). People that will not buy a 1100S maybe will buy a 848SF at about the same price point. The M1100s is way over priced. (at least in Europe)

So in the end they're not taking away from the 1100, but rather the 1100S buyers they lost.

Granted maybe some 1100 buyers will then opt for the 848SF. (but I don't think Ducati will mind Grin)

Maybe. If the tribe so speaks, then so be it.  But I for one would not have chosen an 848SF over M1100s, although I'm apparently part of the minority  Cool.  SF is just too....."edgy" for my liking....  and considering the current Monsters are seemingly too edgy for some of the Older Monster followers... I cant see mass Monster defection to the SF fold anytime soon.

This is its greatest failing, way overpriced in Australia too.

That just simplifies things ... it takes aesthetics out of the value equation laughingdp

Unge, do you know what the cost differential is between M1100/M1100S/848 down here? I admit to be short of perspective.

Mate, I conveniently forgot the cost of entry pain  Cool.  I dont remember exactly how much, other than too much.

I think M1100s is +AU$2500 over M1100.

NFI (appropriately enough  Wink) what an 848 costs.  Doesnt interest me.
