Benelli Mirrors on a Monster

There was a pair of these Benelli mirrors sitting on the counter of my local shop.  I looked them up and the only model that seemed to have these mirrors was their "Cafe Racer".

Now on my bike.  So, what do you think?  Do they work on this bike?

Here are the Napoleons that were on before.  I like the look and the tradition especially from the rear angle.

But not so much from the front.

I can dig 'em both.

Not sure which I'd go with.

Can we get a pic of them from the front on the Monster?

They look good from what you've posted so far though.   [thumbsup]

Howie

How do they compare with the Napoleons when it comes to seeing what is behind you?

I like both, but think the benelli mirror's oval edges match the flow of the monster better and are a little less intrusive size wise.

either look sharp though.

I'll try to get a picture from the front.

The Napoleons offer a better view of what is behind me simply because the mirror size is bigger.  The Napoleons also have the advantage of being able to flip over to make more room when parking in the garage.  The Benelli mirrors can not be flipped over towards the bike.

Hadn't seen those before.  Nice find.  I think the Benellis look best.  How much did those run you?

I had the Napoleans also but ended up going with the Motrax Mini Reversables myself.

Although the Benellis can't be flipped, can they be mounted on the inside?  Don't how that would look though.

I liked the Napoleons for their flippable setup but they really look like truck mirrors.

those benelli mirrors are nice, a bit wide for my taste, but i could get used to that.  i bet they have a great rear view.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm pretty sure I paid $75 for the pair.

Those Motrax Mini Reversables look cool. Are they basically like the Rizomas? How much did they cost?

I'm pretty sure these Benellis can't be reversed. There is no way to take the mirror apart. Even if I could I'm pretty sure it would take away from the functionality and reduce the view of what's behind me and increase the view of my shoulders.

i think the benelli mirror look horrible on your bike, you need to sell them to me for $20 and i'll take them off your hands and put them where they will look good on my monster.  you can thank me later.   ;D

That's a bargain for a quality set of good looking mirrors.

Yep, the Motrax are basically exact copies of the Rizomas but without any stamps/labels and a lot cheaper than the Rizomas.  I think I paid around $67 for the set - when the exchange rate was better as Motrax is UK based.  There is also an ebay seller that sells a set of M-Label mirrors that look the same at a reasonable price.

They look great on your Monster, suits your bike better than their intended home IMO  [thumbsup]
