Possible next bike?

Its going to be awhile before getting another monster, so in the meantime Ive been looking around on something to tool around/play on.   I think Ive found it....

A RD 250/350, provided that I can find a parts source, and the right one for the right price.

I talked to the guy this morning. He's got somebody looking at it this afternoon, and he's gonna call me if the guy says no thanks.

I was gonna look at it, just for funzies....if'n you want, I'll really take a look at it for ya.

saw that one, its still a couple months out for me. A nice one in La was only 1300.

Need to do a bit more research, but a mid 70s 2 stroke is looking like a lot of fun

I knew a guy who used to drag race one back in the late '80s. He did very well with it.

Could be fun to find one cheap though, as they are relatively highly sought after.

I personally want/need a motard ratbike to ride to work rain or shine. Gas prices be damned.

lol -- odd.. there is an r5 350 for sale in atlanta that i'm looking at really hard.

two stroke streetbikes are fun. my dad has a 76 gt750 that is a blast.
but the yama's look nice -- 330lbs stock. i'm thinking it'd be my goal to get it sub 300.
sub 250 if i get really stupid.

There's been an RD350 in the local paper for months for $450.  It needs a considerable amount of restoration though.  I looked at it and decided it wasn't my project.  At least until I get a bigger garage (Taurus, Dakota, M750, TS185, to bicycles in a small 2-bay) according to my fiancée  [laugh]
