Been tossing up whether to keep my windscreen on or take it off.

Whats everyone else doing?

Pro's / Con's??

Looks like a bit of a pain in the bumb to get it off..

Thoughts?

Easy to get off (just two bolts) and unclip.

I have mine on because it just gives the gauges a bit more protection and also I like the look of it.
As for wind protection, well mine's a stock screen, so has little deflection.

I think, give it try off. If you don't like it just put it back on (2minute job)

Are these 2 bolts you speak of the same that hold the indicators on and the heads are facing in?

my bike hasnt one, was taken off on day one so ive never seen it. It also hasnt seen rain in nearly 8 yrs untill i got stuck in the rain at bulli last friday and it took 5 days to dry out and show legible numbers on the lcd screens!!!

im still happy without.

Mine is on, I prefer the look with it on.
But then I like Goldfish's bike without the screen.

Yeah, im stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment...... i do like it from certain angles off.... if it was to stay off permanently i would definitely need to get small indicators.... its all most as difficult a decision as to what to name your new born!

Mine didn't come with one.  I made sure I wouldn't be tempted to put one on by cutting off the mounting tabs.  Actually they were in the way of my brake and clutch lines when I put clip-on bars on.

Did you keep the front indicators as stock or change them?

I kept them, but had to move them down a bit to clear my brake and clutch levers.

Ive looked around on the forums about lowering the gauges (not to sure if im that committed) however i cant find to much info on a how-to. Is it relatively easy or a bit of a process????

Take a look in the Tech boards, if it's not on one of the front pages a search will find it very quickly.
There are a few different threads on how people have done it.
Infact by necessity we had to do it to Goldfish's bike the other weekend. And when I say "we" I mean "we" told Dockstrada
what we thought worked best and sent him on his way.
