Verify parts availability. I remember looking at a VFR250 and deciding parts may be an issue.
Cool bike though ~

parts are available for em....may not be the easiest to get...but they are out there...sometimes it helps to have a friend or few overseas new the land of the rising sun.... this is what I have been told by a friend who has a VFR400 and an RC30 and a few other weirdo Honda's....

Like a slightly shrunk RC30. There's a shop in NorCal that can get ~100HP out of one.... not very durable at that output.

thats got a bodykit from tyga http://tyga-performance.com/site/index.phpparts are available depends on where you look , new parts are available from honda, the fische is available on the net so once you have the part number go to your local honda dealer and order for plenty of reading head here http://www.400greybike.cc/the later RVF400 NC35 has the USD front end and different bodywork similar to RC45 , smaller carbs improving midrange along with a bunch of other minor differences a very fun bike to ride, plenty of mid range torque and great cornering along with the nice V4 sound and ready to give larger bikes a run for their money in the right territory only real problems are usualy reg/rect have owned a few and still have 3 of em these arent mine but think they look great

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

They have gotten great reviews, but maybe hard to find and fix. I have a 2007 VFR in RWB which is really nice and a good complement to my monster (for two up riding and comfort)

VFR400? Yes, beyond cool factor.
I've never really been a Japanese bike guy, but. . . . once in a while. . . . . there's something that makes me look through the classifieds for one. The VFR400 is one of those bikes for me.

Wow, that NC24 on ebay needs a complete teardown and rebuild! But, it would be worth every minute! Very trick little bike.
I had a CB-1 as my very first bike. It was sort of a remake of the old cb400f but with the newer cbr400rr motor. I love Hondas. Was/am a fan for the last 20 years before my current first Duc.
