If a Honda= rice burner, then what is a Ducati?

« on: February 18, 2011, 09:31:52 AM »

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get melted boot rubber off the exhaust pipes.  I have to chrome conti style pipes and for some reason my left heel rubs on the pipe where it meets the header.  Sad

I'm going to try the petroleum solvent method when I get home tonight.  Since the chrome is in perfect condition I would hesitate using an abrasive.  As hard as chrome is, it still likes to scratch.

no you can't.  use a brillo pad with soap and lightly rub the pipe but the same color/look will return.  work it slowly with lots of water but again it's not worth the time since they will turn again.
