The Febur looks very interesting [thumbsup] From the other forums it seems to be about $550 shipped. My only problem would be re-fitting my beloved dual oversized horns.

The EVO cooler is probably a lot taller - maybe too tall?

MotoWheels is out of stock on their cooler (right?)

I have to check if I really need it - quite $$$$'y

Do You really need a bigger oilcooler? I live in Norway too and my max oil temp was 121 C the first day i ride my bike. Since that I have newer Seen it above118 C. what is Your max oil temp?

Ed is checking availability and pricing. I think theirs might be Febur - MW part # FE 163

No issues normally, but the scenario I'm preparing for involves tuned engine with dB-killers.
I'll monitor the temperatures with the stock/HM cooler and compare with/without dB-killers.

I am running with the Termis, TPO beast and the DP ecu and thinking about ditching the oil cooler.

Really? What about idling in unplanned traffic?

We lane split  8)

Sitting in traffic it doesn't help much anyway, does it?

Not that I would ditch it, but.....

Too cold oil is not good, is it? I live in a smal town (trondheim) so I am out of traffic in 5 min.

no - i have seen people tape over or cover half of oil cooler if weather is not very hot

there is also the mocal thermostats - makes oil divert back before oil cooler if under certain temperature.

here i do not think an s2r1000 would make it through the summer without oil cooler

I could probably run my s2r with out an oil cooler here.  I rarely ever pass the 150* mark while commuting, and just barely pass the 200* mark on spirited rides and through traffic.  :-\

F right, surely not C?

you forgot to circle the thermostat element that keeps the oil from over-cooling, shown just to the left of your box, directly after the in/out on the case.   I think evoluzione used to even manufacture one that was duc specific, but now I believe it is primarily a "rig something up" via generic parts task - a la the Mocal one.

I have no temp gauge...

my bike never runs hot or cold. ;)

I tape over the cooler to keep condensation out of the level window in cool temps.

See...

no overthinking here. ;)
