Actually Joshua, I'm pretty sure that the same Evoluzione Cyclesports oil thermostat that's in the picture could fit on different Ducati models and a few Aprilias too.  The different bikes did require different AN connectors or hoses (in the case of Aprilias) to hook it up.

That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying that they are no longer available for purchase.

i should note that the pictured bike sure is chock-full of goodness. rearsets, hoop, both side carbon intakes (upper/lower), the headlight fairing, shooooooooo the list goes on.  what a beaut.

F right, surely not C?

Positive it's F*.  My bike is cold blooded for some reason.  It runs about the same temp or cooler than some of my buddies water cooled japanese bikes (r6s & gsxrs) for some reason...even in the twisties and in 90* traffic.  :-\

Frustration

H competition make a couple of versions...

a standard and a "large"...

This being Phoenix I'm likely doing the big one.

Do we know if the fittings, on the cooler side, are the same for the HM and the HM Evo?

Edit: yes, they are [thumbsup]

At this point, the EVO cooler seems to be a strong contender.
The only worry is that I'm not sure if I need 85% better.

I also want one of those, but need to measure it's height to see if it can be squeezed in the space of the 99 M900 frame

IMO, unless you're seeing oil temp regularly approaching 300 degF...it's just bling that you'll need to cover (or partially cover) to keep oil temp up.

The SC-project and NCR coolers are quite nice, though.

It's 8 ribs high, compared to stock 6.
Theoretically, that makes it about an inch higher (105mm vs 80mm)
In itself maybe not too much, but the connection points and lines must have some room too.

That's where the other coolers have an advantage - with their lower positioned built-in points.

I need to run semi/mineral 20/50 oil for my wet clutch not to slip after the tuning.
Maybe I need the oil to stay cooler than I would otherwise need.

We'll see after testing on dry roads and normal temperatures (a month or more)

Mine runs pretty hot here (even w/ rich mixture), so I'd like the add'l cooling and vastly superior looks over my old school pre-round edges boxy oil cooler.  When I do it, I will definitely track down a thermostat.

Measured a Hyper EVO cooler today.

300 x 105 x 30 mm with the fitting mounts angled a bit inward. (stock 250 x 80 x 30 mm)(roughly)
The mounting brackets, special made for EVO I assume, are 160 mm apart vs 150 stock. (need at least longer bolts and more rubber)

It wouldn't surprise me if the fittings interfere with a Monster frame.....

Perhaps its just taken up with the rubbers for the EVO too.

does the evo oil cooler not mount on the rubber isolators as well? I was thinking they may be longer to accommodate the wider mount points

The rubber is the same part # on both applications. The bolt is not.
Maybe it's possible to re-use part of the old rubbers or just some washers + a longer bolt....
My main concern would be if there is room for it at all, it's quite large and has the fitting mounts on top of that.
