Anyone know of someone who makes/sells these? I hate to spend $700 on something that can be made WAY cheaper if I only had a mount kit?

the problem with kits designed for older monsters is the frame tube diameter. the new Monster is larger. so the mounts won't work on them.
once someone builds the correct diameter mount for the side mount I'd be interested

I have a side mount ohlins setup for my 696 which works really well. I had to buy a new fork clamp when I installed the sbk forks but the frame bracket fits perfectly.

I don't know of any side mount damper kits available for the new monsters, though Im sure it can be done (I don't see why the one for the older monsters couldn't be modified slightly by your local machine shop to make it work if that is what you really want). But why spend $700? On that note, why get a side mount rather than a top mount - http://bellissimoto.com/BituboDampers.html retail for a top mount is only $525 and thats before your 10% forum member discount, plus they are in stock and can ship right away.

I need the side mount also. I have bar risers on my M1100 so a top mount won't work. Since I put OZ Racing wheels on, either I am giving unintended input to the bars when riding aggressively through turns or the bike is picking up pavement imperfections which is unsettling the bike slightly. Yes, I'm using proper riding technique. It is not a serious amount, the bike just doesn't feel quite as planted as I'd like. I'd like to stop it and I think a damper would help.

Here is an old pic with it installed.. ![](http://i688.photobucket.com/albums/vv250/bsurjan/009-1.jpg) I know it looks really long in that pic and like it would get in the way, but that is because the wheel is turned. When riding, it is shorter and not even an issue... I am not sure of the part#. I looked on it, and could not see one. I bought it from a board member over a year ago for like $150. I will try to look around and see if I can find the box or manual for it.

I do like it, and you suck for getting that deal ![Wink](http://ducatimonsterforum.org/Smileys/classic/wink.gif)

Honestly, with the angle that it is at, even when the wheel is turned fully, it doesn't even come close to my knee. Not sure if it's the new rearsets or what, but It doesn't come close.

I have the risers and just added the DP damper. No big deal to build a couple of spacers for where the mount attaches over the ignition.

I run a top mount bitubo off an 848. had to modify one bracket by grinding and drilling a new hole because the ignition bolts are closer on the 1100 than the 848. but its top mount so I don't worry about it ib event of fall. also had to leave a tiny bit of fork on top of the triple and had a 50mm fork clamp rather than supplied 53.
also. I have seen a sidemount damper through a leg. it isn't pretty
I got my bitubo from Randy 2 years agoband it still works flawlessly.
