A plea from the missus

Has anyone here ever read Round Ireland with a Fridge?  It's the true story of an Englishman who made a drunken bet to hitchike around Ireland with a refrigerator in tow and his exploits and the people he met.  Well, it got me to thinking that, since we are going to England in June, it'd be an appropriate time for Toasty to take his first (known) trip abroad.

So, whoever has him, would you kindly consider sending him to the land of his birth so that Toasty can make the trip with us?  I promise that he will be returned to you upon our return to the States.  (Or, if Toasty's current foster family happens to be anywhere near Chicago, BP and I will be there from April 6 - 9 and could take temporary custody of him at that time, too, if easier.)

Many thanks!

Never read the book

but your recount of it called to mind the time I traveled around the USA with my (now) ex-wife years ago

only I am confident that the fridge was far less obnoxious to people met along the way and easier to travel with

and held less food

sadly I cannot plead drunkenness for that

I too have wondered where Toasty wound up

Didn't Toasty get toasted at DIMBY last year?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

One can only wish...turns out it was an impostoaster.

Is it being held captive in the foul clutches of some TOB member?

There was some talk that the Hoosier Hooligans were holding it.

(I dont have toasty-but i have a story)

When we were in Italy...
we were in a moto bar (Biker's Ranch, Billabio) for my birthday.
The bar owner brought us a round of champagne served on a billet alum 916 wheel (as a gift)
i spent the next 4 days getting on/off trains, buses, cabs...carrying my luggage and a moto wheel
there werent any exploits, just funny looks.

The wheel is still here, and has now been named The Albatross.

cokey

Pic of toasty incase we see it.
