I'll be there at 8:30, after work, probably drinking a Peroni by myself.  I'll knock the bike over and yell "They call me ZOOOOM!"  Probably start fight with any members of my old firm if any are there.

hahahahahahaahaha....

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

I'm pretty slammed at work, but might walk over for a few minutes - I'll be in brown slacks and a sorta brown/burnt orange shirt and black overcoat.

I swung over for a while and just got back.  Pretty nice event - they even have a couple of bikes inside the bar and have the bar tenders in ducati shirts :)  Even met up with an old friend I hadn't seen in years there  [thumbsup] (though I didn't see any other lawyers - lots of students and such).

they also have the shop race bike which I liked better than the diavel.

Hmmm...  Guess I should re-think this whole staying in thing...

I caught the tail-end.  Free t-shirt, lanyard, pressure gage, some other stuff.  Good actual set-up - they had one outside for revving, and one inside for looking. The bike itself isn't bad; Ducati uses the flapper valve to control noise on the "street" setting.  Interesting.  Can't be good for the motor...  A nice married girl kept me company while I drank my $2 Peroni.

Harley started using those flappers on their bikes in Europe to pass noise regs about 10 years ago -- none on the US bikes.  It's a good idea but I think the regulators will get wise to it.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
