After 8 weeks of waiting...my newly upholstered DP Low seat.  Perforated leather & Alcantara  Evil

Damn dude.  Just damn.  Your bike is simply incredible and I looooove your new headlight.  Flows much better than the last LED setup you had.  Are you going to post a new thread with your new headlight setup?

I'm really digging everything about Stormtrooper's bike. The shorty cans are plain rude and that LED headlight really looks the bizness on the new style Mostros

Yeah his bike is simply fantastic.....my favorite 796 I've seen all around.

Thanks for the compliments!  I'm done modding until after the summer I swear cheeky

I updated my original LED headlight thread with the new setup here --> http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=61833.15

I actually feel stupid for not making the connection... that bike totally looks like what a Stormtrooper would ride

LOL.  Stormtrooper actually comes from by girlfriends first impression of the bike when I brought it home.  She stared at it a minute and said, "it reminds of one of those storm trooper things from star wars".  We both laughed and the nickname stuck.  I guess the smashed face, bulbous tank, and matte white paint does look the part!

Was very happy to see the mailman! All I'm waiting on now is my air filter, grips and pod back so I can remove the wind screen for an even lower look up front. Now if only the rain would hold out long enough for install.

Just bolted up the exhaust. I know Danmoto is a touchy subject around here, but I got it, I like it, done. Rather than flood this board with images,

www.kuzemko.com

has all of the pictures I've taken so far of the bike and what I've done to it so far. Undertail kit should be put on tomorrow, weather permitting. Then off comes the frame stickers. Plus lots more being shipped.

From that angle it does not look that "smoke"

From this one it does.

It's your $ and your bike. Anyone who wants to say something about it, not worth sweating

Just grabbed a carbon rear hugger, carbon chain guard and carbon exhaust shields from Monster parts.  Was gonna grab the radiator cover but it was out of stock  Cry

I've had a busy week or so ordering stuff for my S2R. I was going to buy another bike for touring or something...watched The Long Way Round, Ewan McGregors trip around the world, and it got me all fired up. However a little reality set it and I realized I didn't need to spend ten grand on a used bike. However, since rationalization is such a wonderful thing it made sense for me to buy all the stuff I've been wanting to put on my bike. After all, anything less than the ten K I was planning on spending is saving right? So in the last week or so I have ordered:
RaceTeck fork rebuild
Penske Rear Shock
Rizoma reservoirs
Pazzo Levers
and a couple other little things. I want to protect that rear shock but can't tell which huggers will do the job. I really don't want to spend two hundred on the shift tech, but will if that's the only option..any suggestions would be most welcome. The hard part is that the bike is 1500 miles away and I won't see it or work on it until Aug:(

Correct!  waytogo
Add the Caribean cruise you won't be taking and your even better off - almost earning money on mods...

Shift Tech hugger does a great job for the shock, but if you can accept a hidden shock... there are those cheap sock type of protectors.

I wish they made a carbon "shorty" hugger that fit my hooped Monster. I'd be all over it, those things are rude looking
