Agonizing over whether to jump on some low mileage 749 4 - pad calipers or not...

You got 65mm caliper brackets on your forks? SBK forks I guess. I've heard that the normal calipers have a greater range of pad materials than the 4 pad. Depends on what disc material you settle on. If Iron, I wouldn't bother with 4 pad, but stainless yes.
EBC make calipers too. Have you considered a single disc and 6 piston caliper like Beringer? Or billet calipers ($$$)?

Yes...except I've already crossed a point of no return of sorts when I purchased the RCS19 because it is designed for a dual caliper setup. If I could have a do-over, I would be extremely tempted to go with a single rotor setup with an RCS15 master, billet caliper, and CMC rotor...

I'd have done an SBK swap instead of the Matris kit as well...because I love those 100mm monoblock calipers.  drool

"Corse Dynamics" billet exhaust flanges to replace my scabby ones.

Oh yeah, UPS showed up with more goodies! new alloy headlight mounting flanges, new motor mount bolt, and I'm particularly stoked on this Streetfighter kill switch. A lot more compact than I expected and it "sheaths" the starter button when turned off, very cool...check it out:

Are you going to swap out the left switch to match?

I also like the new switch design and have been hunting for a set on ebay. So far, I can find the starter switches but nary a one of the light switches except for one cracked example. I'm thinking there is a lesson to be gleaned from that, or at least a developing trend. More offs on the left rather than the right?

The left switch is a much more complicated swap that I don't care to get in to. Momentary switches that require either several relays or an M-Unit. Way over my head. The right is basically plug and play aside from the rewire.

I'm satisfied with how they look together. My left switch is NOS. I wouldn't bother with ebay; the new kill switch only cost me $67 from Ducati Omaha. Ebay sellers often are charging more for a scabby one.

There are several different prices for different years and models despite the wiring and DIN connectors being the same. I looked up quite a few and # 65010092I was the cheapest. It's from a Panigale.

Thanks for the heads up re the best price. I was also coming to the same conclusion re the prices some of the scrappers were asking.
I'm not very proficient with the electrical work but am lucky enough to have a very good friend who thoroughly enjoys electrical/electronic puzzles and has the patience to write out detailed instructions for me. But I am thinking the switch swap might not be that complicated for my bike, 2012 1100evo.

I enjoy reading about our progress and look forward to seeing the finished product.

I have never used the off switch on any of my bikes, that's what the key and kickstand is for.  I always figured that using the bar switch was just adding needless wear and tear and an extra failure point.

Are you answering a question, or just volunteering wisdom?

Oldndumb; how about one of those master cylinder clamp switches? I kinda wish I'd gone that route sometimes;

That sounds right up your alley Skybarney, since you don't use the switch. Just wire up a clean start button clamp.

Aw man, why'd you have to do that!?! I have a hard enough time making decisions without you dangling more goodies in front of me.

I had never seen the ISR offerings before. They certainly have a unique engineering philosophy and I think their parts would definitely be compatible with the Monster persona.

Their price list was scary until I did the converter thing and found that it takes quite a few SEKs to make a dollar.

They're prices are extremely reasonable. A 6 piston, 6 pad, billet monoblock caliper for under $800...Brembo gets $2500 for their 4 pot billet caliper.

Damn! Any of these that fit regular masters? I don't want to shell out for both, but getting rid of that switch would be nice.

Ducabike makes one specifically for Panigale (Brembo OE radial? Should fit other Brembo masters) but it's kinda outrageously priced. MW has their house brand of the same thing but again, kinda steep imo.
