Does my bum look big on this?

Thanks - and yes it was an incident!  Just wonder if I had a modern Monster how well the ABS would of reacted to that scenario.  Not that I am trading my Monster for a Diavel now.... laughingdp.  Still wont prevent the percentage of oblivious road users in this world...

Good to hear you're okay and that the damage is minimal.

I think this is exactly the situation that the engineers had in mind when they came up with ABS.  The panic reflex is hard to suppress.  The ABS in my car saved the life of an echidna once...

Never thought I'd see a politician sticking his neck out like Bob Katter did!!  Shocked waytogo

Whether you love him or hate him, he hits a raw nerve!

Bob Katter …. Saying it as it is:
-----
My great, great, great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Boer War.

My grandfather watched and bled as his friends died in World Wars 1&2.

My grandfather watched as his friends & brothers died in the Depression of 32.

My father watched as his friends died in Korea .

I watched as my friends died in Vietnam , East Timor & Desert Storm.

Our sons and daughters watched & bled as their friends died in Afghanistan and Iraq.
None of them died for the Afghanistan and Iraq Flag.

Every Australian died for the Australian flag.
At a Victorian high school foreign students raised a Middle East flag on a school flag pole Australian students took it down.

Guess who was expelled...the students who took it down.

West Australian high school students were sent home,
because they wore T-shirts with the Australian flag printed on them.

Enough is enough.
This message needs to be viewed by every Australian; and every Australian needs to stand up for Australia . We've bent over to appease the Aussie-haters long enough. I'm taking a stand.

I'm standing up because of the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the Australian flag.

And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message.

AUSTRALIANS, stop giving away Your RIGHTS!

THIS IS OUR COUNTRY!

This statement DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration!

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY, welcome to come legally:

1. Get a sponsor!
2. Learn the LANGUAGE, as immigrants have in the past!
3. Live by OUR rules! Dress as we Australians Do
4. Get a job!
5. Pay YOUR Taxes!
6. No Social Security until you have earned it and Paid for it!
7. NOW find a place to lay your head!

If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone,
then YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

We've gone so far the other way...bent over backwards not to offend anyone.

Only AUSTRALIANS seem to care when Australian Citizens are being offended!

WAKE UP AUSTRALIA !!!

If you do not Pass this on, may your fingers cramp!

Made in AUSTRALIA & DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!!"
AMEN,

it aint funny its serious!! It really is!!  Shocked

A little known fact...

The first testicular guard (“box”) was used in cricket in 1874

And the first helmet was used in 1974.

So, it took 100 years for men to realise that their brains could also be important....

Some would say its about priorities ...

... no doubt our female contingent will say it is representative of the male thought processes and where those thoughts originate from.

Well Dragon, he didn't say it like it is or stick his neck out at all, a simple google search would have shown you that the email is a hoax and has been wrongly attributed to many politicians besides Bob Katter.

Yep, I have recieved this email probably a dozen times attributed to a number of different individuals!!

Mostly the Bob Katter types who are outspoken Mavericks that would be most likely to express their opinion openly!!  waytogo

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story!  Grin cheeky

Well I really enjoyed that, Joe Buck (John Voight) is abandoned by his mother, terrified by christian fundamentalists, sexually abused by his grandmother, later in his teens gets raped along with his girlfriend by a gang of Texan good ol boys, fails miserably as a gigolo, sits helplessly next to his only friend (Dustin Hoffman) as he coughs to death. Great stuff, everything you want in a good movie. Right up their with some of my other all time favourites like The Bad Lieutenant (1992 Harvey Keitel) and Drugstore Cowboys (Matt Dyllon). Anyone else catch it ?

Well it looks like we will be having a ride around the block (Bald Hill, Mt Kiera, Macquarie Pass etc) this Thursday (1st March) so if you can get the day off join us.

Now that I've said that, the weather forecast is for rain (again) on that thursday so, if anyone is interested I might just do the ride on Tuesday (28th) with the last of the sunshine, will confirm on Sunday as I need to get the day off from work first

I'm sure our OS visitors would be interested. No?

It looks like the weather is conspiring against us for this Thursday and our our OS visitors will never get to ride Macquarie Pass ( and we have given it such a big build up over the years that it will be very disappointing) and eat a pie at the 'Robbo Pie Shop'.

Anyway, I had a quick run up to the Pie Shop just to make sure we get no suprises, well there is some road works at the bottom of the Pass, and yes it was a little bit damp in places.

Even Jamberoo Pass was a bit slippery
