I'm not sure I would recommend this kind of thing for everyone, but I'm glad we did it.
I'd been wanting to do an SS1000 for a while and finally decided to do one in 2007 when the Motorcycle Tourers Forum sponsored one in our area. I was surprised to have my wife, a dedicated twisty rider, decide she wanted to go with me.
For almost the whole thing, we were running the superslab, but the whole experience wasn't bad at all and was actually quite easy. I was really surprised when my wife was less sore than I was. I rode my ST2 and she rode her bone-stock 2000 R1....plus she is disabled.

My wife and I had four cards deactivated while doing our SS1000. With it being a weekend, we had a heck of a time trying to get them activated while on the road.
