You could check with some of the vendors on here, but I am not sure if they sell the ecu individually.... Just the ecu costs almost as much as the entire kit. You could also contact termi directly and as them....

How do you lose your ecu???

I think you're right, but no doubt you already knew that when you snared your bargain.  Buying a DP ECU is prohibitively expensive.  Maybe you can get your stock 797 ECU reflashed.  Or else just run with it as is - like you would with any other slip-on cans.

If it's a 696 DP ECU, I'd sell it on eBay or the forums.

You can still use your stock ecu with terms. Sell the 696 ecu and use the money to have your stock one reflashed.

sorry to ask. Where can i reflash my ECU to fit the 696 Termi exhaust?
Is it the same as the ECU that came with a 796 Termi. one?
Many thanks for all your help.

Where do you live Chiu? That'd help find someone local to you to reflash / reprogram your existing ECU.

And as part of the reflash you'll get a fully programmable ECU that can be tuned to the pipes. The whole point of the Toomuchmoney Termingioni ECU is that it's pre-tuned to the pipes and can be tuned a bit by the shop. The reflashed ECU gets you the same thing, only with more flexibility.

As a side note, I don't know why people bother with the Termi ECUs. Seems like a lot of money for not a lot of product. Then again, if you want the "blessed by Ducati" part, it's the part.

I Live in Hong Kong. And I don't know here's anyone know how to tune the ECU. So i am planning to post to somewhere who can help me do it.
I am confuse that if I install the 696 Termi exhaust onto my 796 bike, any other things i need to setup except the ECU??

The 696 and 796 ecu's are physically different. I'm not sure if the connectors are the same, but the casing is very different. I doubt that you could use that 696 ecu for your bike. It would be better to sell it and reach out to someone to reflash your 796 ecu. It will likely cost a fair amount of postage but there are several companies in the us or abroad that may be able to help you.

No, you can install the exhaust all by itself. The bike may not run as "good" with the correct ecu, but it will certainly run.

A ton of people on here are running different exhaust setups without the dp ecu(myself included).

I would send you stock ecu to be flashed/mapped for your exhaust, but it is not needed to ride the bike.
