This story needs a pic of Duc t-shirt wearing douche drinking coffee on a 999 in front of Starbucks!

[popcorn]

no No NO!!!

You've got it all wrong...  :-\

I can't be on the Triple-9 drinking coffee... I have to stand next to it, staring at it, waiting for people to come up and ask me questions and make comments...  [cheeky]

BTW, we can make this happen at DIMBY next weekend, especially since Carl and Mel gave me the shirt and card!  [laugh]

partial douche if you bought the "non-licensed" patches from China.  If you walked into the Duc store then  you're a full douche who just might be broke.   :o

neither!  they are all original vintage IoM/MHR and SSR patches, and one Tony Rutter commemorative!

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Yeah, I don't know.  It's just that t-shirts with motorcycle logos just don't seem to be in the same category as designer luggage.

Triumph t-shirts...available at any Luck Brand store in any mall. Nothing douchey about that!  ;)

Really?  Gee, I haven't been in a mall in years.

What's a Luck Brand store?  Is that a typo for Lucky Brand?  What kind of store is it?

In any event, my point stands.  If one can't recognize a distinction between a bike t-shirt and designer luggage, so be it.  I can explain it to you, but I can't comprehend it for you.

Ya, typo for Lucky. It's like an expensive Gap...and has zero to do with motorcycles, other than paying to use the name.

I do get what you're saying, and I somewhat agree. I just think its stupid to say someone who buys a Ducati bag is automatically a douche though...it may be the only Ducati branded thing they own besides their motorcycle. Who knows. Tumi does make very nice bags, which last. I don't see anything wrong with getting one that says Ducati if you ride one.

Now if they don't own a Ducati then I'd probably agree they're a douche...just like the guy who bought his motorcycle shirt at Lucky but doesn't ride. Whatever though...we all have our opinions.

That's what YOU think!

[/ironic sarcasm]

IMO, moto logo gear is fine in moderation and when on an item that is actually used with/on or worn while on a motorcycle.

Though I do have a nice H-D whiskey glass.

I say, moderation in all things is good, as long as you don't get carried away with it.

I had an old lady boarding the plane in front of me with a Tumi/Ducati logo backpack.  I asked what she rode and she replied she doesn't (DOUCHE).  And believe it or not just three people behind me another potential DOUCHE with the roller bag but I couldn't confirm full doucherie.

You know... People who buy Ducati labeled stuff increase the cache of the bike and keep the company in the black.

Don't hate TOO much on them!

I also saw a lady the other day with the backpack boarding a plane in Ft. Lauderdale. She was 5 people in front and I'm not the type to go over and ask unless she's standing right next to me.

I was in the elevator leaving work one day.  A guy walked in with a Tumi/Ducati messenger bag that doubles as laptop bag.  I remember meeting him awhile back so I started a conversation.  Just to be friendy.  Just before the elevator reached the lobby, I asked if he rides a Ducati, pointing at the bag.  With a embarrassed forced smile, he said his wife bought him the bag becuase it's nice looking.  He then quickly rushed out of the elevator.

I didn't mean to call him out.  I was just being friendly.  Really
