If you are a senior at Michigan, how do you allow State to beat you all four years?

Quack attack prevailed, Miami won, and Rutgers showed real grit in their come form behind win over Navy  [thumbsup]

Boise to the Big East?   A monster 22 team combo conference (Mountain west and Conf USA)?

Auburn got away w/ shit that should have been called a few times (kick catch int. in the begining and the push-off by the reciever for 49 yds or so)

Another tough day for Texas

If there is a better team than Wisconsin in the Big 10, I would like someone to state their case...

What? I said Michigan was facing the toughest challenge yet this season. They failed to step up when they needed to. I didn't expect them to be playing for the national title this year. I will leave the delusions to the Buckeye fans.
But it wasn't a blow out and Purdue and Iowa aren't even going to be bumps in the road.

I am content with 8+ wins in a new coach's first season. The defense is headed in the right direction and is full of young players who are getting stronger with every game.

And as much as I love the Big 10, not even Wisconsin could go toe to toe with 'bama or LSU at this point in time.

I don't think the first loss of the season to the number 1 ranked defense in the nation is anything to be ashamed of. Besides...it isn't like Michigan is having Miami's season. ;)

Hey, Miami already beat OSU. We'll see if Michigan can at least match that  ;D

What an absolutely astute observation. You should be doing game day commentary for ESPN.  [clap] (That was sarcasm...I know I have to explain things to the internet troll.)

The funny part is nothing I have said about Michigan has ever given any indication that I think they could hang with any team in the top 10. And I said Michigan State was going to be a true test of how far the Wolverines have truly come. It is obvious that the defense is still full of holes and Hoke is trying to make Robinson do something he is obviously mediocre at. Explain to me where, in that statement is anything even remotely delusional about the Michigan football team?
They got lucky versus Notre Dame. Every other win was impressive but was also against second tier teams that have a collective record of 15-17. Not earth shattering wins by any means.

Fact is, Michigan has a long way to go but Hoke has them pointed in the right direction. Something Dick Rod could never do. The recruiting class ranks 3rd in the nation. And the still very young defense is making strides this year. They have averaged 14.7 pts per game which is a far cry and a vast improvement over the 33.8 pts per game they were allowing last year.
Nobody in their right mind expected Hoke to come in and immediately win every single game. But I, for one, am completely satisfied with the job he has done so far.

You want delusional fans, try to have a discussion with an Ohio State fan. They still think that they are a match for any team in the SEC.
Hell, even Iowa fans have a far more optimistic outlook on their season than reality dictates.

UCLA-Arizona...not a bad little brawl but the streaker in the ref's uniform blowing the call dead and the refs grouping up to confer...pretty damned funny. Sad that is what it took to make the game watchable though.

Saw this elsewhere and even as a Michigan fan found it pretty damned funny.

Prediction: Michigan fails to get a win this weekend vs. BYE

Michigan fans storm the interwebs and claim BYE is dirty and tried the hurt the Michigan players with their rough play.

Michigan fans claim that BYE took advantage of the crowned field, the scoreboard operator and gravity.

Michigan fans claim that BYE sold their gold trinkets and this gave BYE a competitive advantage over Michigan.

Michigan fans go on to boast that Michigan never lost to BYE in the 1930's

Michigan fans predict that their current high school recruits will show up next year, immediately win starting spots and will never lose to BYE.

Very interesting article on an interesting subject...but the NCAA and bowl execs have the power to crush this before it even gathers momentum.

Yes, very interesting...as is this proposal:
http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/7143961/ncaa-weighing-2000-payments-student-athletes

As stated in the article this will ultimately put certain schools at a competitive disadvantage.

I think the last BCS standings should be used to seed the top 16 teams in a playoff format.
