As Edwards exited the circuit medical center, he first demonstrated that he still had some strength in his arm by performing the classic international symbol for "up yours".

Saw this about Rossi

"Rossi emphasized that he did not think that Ducati needed to drop their current design, incorporating a small sub-frame at the front connected to the engine which serves as a stressed member. He believed that he and Burgess could make it work, but there was still a lot of changes to make."

He better say that as Ducati is betting the farm on this design for the next superbike

Yes, but keep in mind that the superbike will use an aluminum design instead of carbon, and I believe that the aluminum will have more predictable and usable flex in both directions.

Fortunately - for Spanish TV viewers at least - this moment was captured by a canny TV producer. As Edwards exited the circuit medical center, he first demonstrated that he still had some strength in his arm by performing the classic international symbol for "up yours". When asked by the reporter what the doctors had said, he replied "they told me I had the wrong name. I wasn't called Valentino Rossi." Insinuating cruelly - and probably correctly - that if Rossi had been in a similar situation, the doctors may have arrived at a different decision.

i mean, he did break a relatively small bone in FIVE places...

yeah, kinda boring race.

the slow-mo 'n stuff of casey was the best part.  he aint out there taking it easy.  ever.

stoked for ben, of course.  even if it was kinda ho hum to watch, i'm sure that managing that gap and the tires was no easy feat.  ...still ho hum tho.

i was actually surprised dovi held on to fourth, even if he is on the honda.

poor capi.

even poorer rdp.  and elias.  sheesh, someone give him a different tire.  this is embarrassing.

even poorer GP grid in general.  it's getting pathetic.

Nicky and Val both took their 4th, because this engine is the new evolution motor...I don't think either has killed the previous 3 and are probably going to continue to use those for practise's and so forth....I also believe I heard Ben taking his 4th for the race and I am not sure, but I think Jorge did too...but the Jorge thing is just from nothing specific I recall, but maybe more speculative association based on the Ben...I think we need to figure out where Emmitt kept digging up the engine usage charts so that derby or gm2 can regularly keep us in the loop on that stuffs...

Jorge annihilated a motor in the warmup crash at LeMans.

Hayden lost an engine in Estoril, so he's on his fourth, Rossi on his third.

His leathers are covered in Repsol oil. Cuts down on friction. They should do the same for Pedrobot so he'll slide better when he goes down. That way he wouldn't thump and bounce so hard. Grin

Pedro needs a bunch of inflatable balls attached to his suit so he can touch down like the mars lander.
