Hi folks,
I ride a 97' M900. It was alright starting 2 days ago but cant get it started today. Turned on the ignition and thumbed the starter button. There was the usual click sound (before the engine starts to turn), but then the lights and indicators on the dash went off. Checked the fuse box, was fine. Then I noticed a little square relay started buzzing beside the fuse box.
   Any fix on this?
   Thanks in advance

Yep, that's the starter relay, and it sounds bad. I had mine go and had to replace it, I'd suggest the same for you, although you can pop the top off to see what's going on. I think there is a part number cross for it in the alternative parts thread here: http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=698.0

Also, if you do a search for starter relay or solenoid you'll get plenty of topics discussing your and other issues.

It could also be a low battery - the relay will do that if it doesn't get enough juice.  You can jump it off a car (with the car not running) to test or you can watch voltage while attempting to start (it shouldn't go much below 11v at any time).

The starter relay is under the battery.

I think you mean main relay.

It can buzz if battery voltage is really low or if the relay is defective.

If you're cheap as dirt like me, take the relay apart & clean the contacts with fine wet&dry sandpaper.  Use dry, of course.
