For a few weeks for work. Anyone have an idea of what to do in the city other than getting fresh coca and getting abducted my guerrillas?

I should be able to get it for cheap. I love my gorillas, not so much guerillas. Since I'm going for work, I'm sure my colleagues will tell me where not to go.

duccarlos, if you have a free weekend, visit Cartagena, a beautiful coastal town to wander around, soak in the architecture & chill.  My friends who've been highly recommend it. Haven't heard much about Bogota other than it has some hopping nightlife...

worked with a few guys from medillin(sp)

they warned me not to look american if i go there.your company should have security guidelines and be able to tell you the "safe areas" in town.
