As good a place as any for such news, I just got word of similar catastrophe earlier this morning. My stepson's father passed away at 52, a victim no doubt of his absolute unwillingness to stop drinking. In and out of treatment countless times, going aimlessly from job to job, by the kid's estimation he was up to well over a liter of hard liquor per day. Poor kid, he's seen too much bullshit on account of his dad in his 24 years, and I suspect that this week will be especially tough despite knowing this was the only outcome.

If no drugs show up in toxicology, it's probably a heart attack.

My step son's aunt who died recently passed away from a heart attack. I'm sure the gallons of beer and liquor she consummed helped trigger it. I bet her blood alcohol rate was off the charts when she died but she had been dead over 2 weeks when the autopsy was performed. Doubt they could get an accurate reading that long after death.
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

Do you have sympathy for people who crash their motorcycle and die?  There are plenty of people take your unsympathetic attitude towards motorcyclists.   [roll] 

Based on posts in this thread, and my own personal experiences, its pretty apparent that an affliction such as hers had nothing to do with fame or musical talents.  I bet that being insanely rich and famous only exacerbated her mental issues.  It is much less of a "choice" than you think...
