I guess somewhere between the lines it reads: the newbikes based on the new 1199 engine is going to be so expensive it opens a gap somewhere between the M1100/SF1199/SBK849/SBK1198  Grin

I'd like to see that happen. I miss the SS and ST bikes from the line up.

If they do it I hope they use frame from the 848 though and not based on the Monster. I think an 1100 2V motor in the 848 frame would strike the ideal balance between road and track bike. Dolph

it would make more sense than the Monster frame.
the current superbike frame and suspension, the 1100 motor bumped up some cc and hp, and maybe a 900 version Cheesy

I'm not keen on the pictured concept, but I would love an air-cooled superbike.

Ducati has almost always had an "SS" model.  It would be bizarre if they did not come out with a new one.

The bike pictured would be great.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
