Anyone knows if a damper which can fit on M696 can also fit on M1100 too?

Well, Ducati have one that is listed for 696/1100.

That should indicate that the answer is yes.......

You should double check though.

I found this Ohlins damper in the site.
It can fit 696. Wondering if it can fit M1100.

i think only the 796 has the different size riser, which might affect cross use.
not sure if the new evo is using the 796 size or old size

(this is about the top mount)

Ya, I think so. I was going to purchase it. But i have sent a email to the seller, he answered me is : can't fit on M1100.
But i think the 696 and 1100 chassis is the same....

the only think I can think of is the diameter of the tubing being an issue, but had never heard they were different.
did he say why?

i called him cause I also had a question whether I could use this with my 848 forks.

apparently they haven't confirmed it would work on the 1100. but i hope they do for sales sake. I actually like their style better than the top mount for the stock setups.

for my bike I'm looking at this or the aftermarket 848 mount that grabs the fork above the triple. unfortunately the Kyle mount would be trial and error until they found the right clamp for me.

I tihnk the fork diameter of 606 amd 1100 are the same. Let me send an email again and ask for it.
In fact I like the Ohlins top mount damper more than the side mount. Do you know any company which selling the top mount for my M1100. And I am now using the Rizoma bars and i am going to change to the speedymoto tall boy handle bar.

There's not a big market for the top mounted 1100 damper brackets, that's why I am making my own. You'll probably get better results to consult a machinist with your specific handlebar/riser setup and make one that is guaranteed to fit. Downside is that it will cost you $$$, but you don't have to wait until some manufacturer does it.

Mine should be finished sometime this week, I'll post back to the original thread when it's all done. My machinist is doing a pretty good job on the stock M1100 mount.

Raux -- that damper costs something like 750 USD. I'm making the custom bracket for an Ohlins damper for about 550 USD total (damper + bracket). Cost is a factor. Besides, I want to have Ohlins throughout.

The Kyle Racing set up does not fit the 1100.

It is a frame mount issue that could easily be resolved if someone dropped their bike with Dan for a bit.

I want a frame mount damper right now dang it...

Hopefully someone does it shortly.  If not I bet the guys at H Competition could fab a frame mount when I drop my bike off to help em out for exhaust and oil cooler fit checks...

Why not? Did they say why?

I have a side mount on my 696 an do not see why it would not work on 1100... Frames are the same right??
