My cartridge started to leak and I can't get the handle off. I'm trying not to ruin the handle because they are $150 a set.  I have a typical lav puller but these handles have no center hole. I've sprayed some PB blaster in there and still no worky. I really don't want to cut the handle off because of the replacement cost but it's looking like I might have to.

I doubt heat will work but I'll try that before I bust the sawzall out. And yes.... Set screw it out.

Any crafty ideas about this situation?

A lot of tapping all the way around to loosen whatever has it bound up?  That's all I got.

Do you have very hard water?

I was kicking around the idea that if there's scale buildup keeping it in place maybe a CLR or toilet bowl acid soak might help.

Plus tapping as Dan said.

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

Based on that last picture, there may be buildup as mentioned.  Some tapping should help along with the CLR type stuff.

whats the manufacturer? there might be some tricky thing that you are only ever going to figure out if you have a look at the install sheet (or after its broken, like i have experienced.) manufacturer might have that available on the net...

of course, if you installed yourself, then you already know what it _should_ take..

good luck!
