Woke up to see this out my window this morning.  Denver doesn't have the most predictable weather, yesterday was 75 and awesome.

maybe this just marks the time of year where I order my winter mods.  There will still be some good riding, but it's getting close.

For years my wife has claimed to want to move to the Denver area.  I showed her the pic you posted.  She's not a fan o da snow.

Oh, Colorado... you have such nice mountain roads.

But then you go and make them unrideable for large percentages of the year.

(Contrast with Kansas roads, which though it may be cold, are rideable most of the time. But, you know, who wants to?)

The snow comes and goes relatively quickly...compared to Minnesota or Wyoming.  The bad thing is all the sand they use to treat the roads.  Plus it's cold from November - March.  I moved here from San Diego for school.

I was just up in Denver a couple weeks ago visiting Randimus and Stella and checking out the city.  I thought I was sold on it and then you posted this pic.   boo

I've lived in a few places around the country.

Most of my live was spent in mid-Michigan.

I then spent some time in Floriduh.  Never again.

Southern California.  Yes, but too many people in between me and the fun stuff.

Las Vegas.  Too hot in the summer for outdoor activities.

Albuquerque.  In a heartbeat I'd be back.

Phoenix.  Never again as well.

Denver is home.

I never saw snow at my place yesterday, although it did fall around the city perimeter.  I'll take the 300+ days of sunshine each and every year.  Sure, it can snow early or late, but the next day (like today - clear skies/50*) is beautiful.

I love to ride, but when it starts snowing I'm just as excited about skiing.  I got my wood all cut and split for the winter, my wife is winding up the canning and drying out of the garden....TIME FOR SNOW!!!!!!!  BRING IT!!!!!

Seems weird seeing that and knowing I'm going out riding my PWC's and doing some water skiing this Friday.
