Seems like patience is a virtue with Ducati.....

Put a down payment on a red 696 in March....still no news... coffee

I'm looking into asking my dealer for some extra options.....by the time it gets here, I'll be needing snow tires with chains and a heater kit!!! LOL [moto]

Ahhhhh....life is good when the only thing left to do is wait......

this whole "order a vehicle" thing is new to me....

I called my dealer again this morning, and again "it should be here in a couple of days"

"ok, well if it actually does come in, don't sell it out from under me, i'm going camping for the next few days, I won't have cell coverage and i want the bike. i'm buying it. Hold it for me, you have my deposit."

"i'll make a note of that"

seriously, when i come out of the woods, i'd better have voicemail saying "come get your bike"

Got it got it!!! Couldn't be happier!! Smiley Smiley
Rode it home for 30 mins and spent another hour staring at it Grin

One thing I noticed... there is a "neutral zone" when switching from gear 5 to 6....  may be I didn't do it hard enough? Huh?

what i don't get is this....

what's the point of the "list" if they don't ship the bikes on the "list?"  i.e., i put a deposit down months ago so they've known they had a red sold.  why do they bother shipping all the others before the ones on the dealers' lists?

I have the same thing swithching from 5 to 6 as well, kinda zings the motor if your still on it hard. Positive, firm shift required here. Took the wife on it the other day, a bit uncomfotable for her but she loved it.
