Exhaust and bike looks real nice, but then you have that clutch cover...wtf happened to it?

TitanMonsterS4R

yeah I know.  Failed attempt by the last owner.  Been searching for a new one for a while.  No such luck.  Could solve the issue by doing a dry clutch conversion....

That is really coming along.

What about blasting all the paint off the cover and starting over?

that's actually not a bad idea.  I need to change the oil anyway.  So maybe I can kill two birds with one stone.

I think the cover would actually look nice in raw blasted aluminum (I'd use wallnut shell abrasive or something like that I think).  I did a KX250's engine cases and swingarm that way once and it had a nice just slightly dimpled matte look. I'm assuming the clutch cover is aluminum, if its magnesium it probably needs to be painted.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

[Dolph] [thumbsup] Don't see too many of that color around these parts.  Except for DW's SC which is more of a mustard yellow!

Would have looked good in the antique gold PC to end up looking like Mag covers. Did that to my S2R when I got some baked in oil stains on the covers. - Gene
