GK why wait for a specific sprocket ??
a few phone calls to various places dmoto etc and i am sure you would quickly find someone with
the correct sprocket on te shelf since you are not chasing something out of he ordinary

That's what I would have thought also.
My brother picked up a 14t and we fitted it. Ducati shop (his side of town) assured me it was the correct fit but they got the pitch wrong and the sprocket itself would have needed to be packed with shims. The other option was to get an engineering place to cut the thickness down on one side, but I didn't want to do that after purchasing a $45 sprocket.
A chat with my Ducati guy (my side of town) revealed that the 14t was deleted for the 00-01 Monster 900s. This is due to an issue with the adjustable rear wishbone on that model. If the height is raised, it may chew out the swingarm with a 14t.
In my case, that won't (or shouldn't) be a problem, as my height is set at the lowest, due to my case of duck's disease! LOL!
So I called Brad Black to see what he did (which is how I found out about the shimming - as this is his method) and he put me onto the original AFAM part number, which my Ducati guy used to order the correct part!
Long process, but the result should be great!

Also, how much did it cost all up for it to be done at the shop?
Sydney, D'Moto; $100 installed (while you wait). The whole process took no more than a half hour, could not have been any easier.
(As a comparison: I called Northside Motocycles to get a quote during the week; they quoted $40 for the sprocket + 1 hour labor = $160, they could not do it until mid July and I needed to leave the bike there for the day)
Noticably higher revving at speed. I'm not sure about all the technicalities around swing-arms, chain wear etc. I suppose that's why I take it to D'Moto as I figure if there was an issue with it, they'd know and advise.
Seans last words to me as I saddled up on the bike was that it will make
everything
better, he was right.

It wouldn't be an issue for your bike, just the 00-01 M900 as I understand it.

Don't spose anyone has the part number to suit the 00-01 model for 14 tooth handy ?
I have no problems with fitting it myself but would like to order the correct part first time if possible . lol
Cheers
Jason.

Fitted a set of levers from flee bay. Very impressed with the quality from China. Easy fit, even for me.

Second link California Cycleworks, bottom sprocket is the one you need. Well it's the one I need.
It'd get to me here in Melbourne in a few weeks, but $44 (which is a good price) plus another $40-50 postage is more than I want to pay.

Well we took Jukie and Betty for a ride to get them pink slipped and then to the rta, then on the way back had a CRASH. So Jukie is now damaged and back in the shed. Betty is fine.
