Took it to D Moto for some attention.
Then someone saw it there and I got in trouble for it being less than clean.

I've had three of them over the years. Are going to race Formula 400?

well actually it brings the vfr count up to 5 after thinking about it some   laughingdp

1 of which is an actual sorted race bike ,
lockwired , worked motor, suspension, stripped down weight wise
which has race history

so yes i should go and race

or actually we should have an ozmoto track day again

this one today came a little tricked up

braided lines
twin stack 1/2 exhaust
sticky rubber
17 inch rear
its a later model so adjustable forks
rearsets
single seat fairing
single headlight fairing

Photos were deleted due to the owner having a very good Lawyer plus i'm sure that any moderators  would have deemed them, somewhat pornographic      Grin

SOLD IT

Did the ad read along the lines ...

Fastidiously maintained Monster for sale.
Past Concours winner.
It'll be sad to see the bike go but I just don't ride it enough anymore.

Look Betty/Mark..........please keep it under wraps till the deed is done, I even offered to help by posting a lovely vid of the master down West Head way "riding" P...pp...ppppppppreciious but I didn't want it to balloon the price out. I heard a rumour that there were people queued up at his front door and down the drive....
Please don't quote me though, was second hand news that I read on the front page of the Manly Daily     coffee

I did the same just recently too - I thought it was a bit of a pain in the ass to pull the pump/filter out of the tank though!  Even though I thought I had drained it entirely fuel still kept coming out! Embarrassed

I took the tank off the bike for this reason. I didn't want to spill fuel all over it. When removing the fuel pump assembly I had the tank resting against a wall with the fuel pump at the top. It probably still had a few litres in it but was OK.

S2R1000 2008

« Reply #507 on: September 05, 2012, 08:58:44 PM »

What did I do today?
- Wasted two hours going to the RTA because some lowlife, dirtbag deliquent loser decided it'd be fun to wrench the rego plate off my bike yesterday evening (while it was parked in a well-lit busy street in Hornsby just around the corner from the local constabulary) and toss it somewhere. bang head
Was standard plate, but white on black, and and exie mounting cover as well...

$140 later, and nothing to show for it except and new rego number to learn... bang head

The prick(s) were very fortunate....that I didn't catch them at it...

Standard tail on the S2R (no chop) - any alternative to fit - w/out drilling two new holes at the base?
Should I be drilling two at the top as well and mounting it at four points to make harder for some pondlife to wrench off? Any suggestions welcome...
